My Fisher & Paykel E450 fridge only unit seems to be draining out too much water. The drain capture container at the back of the unit fills up about once a week. Any help would be good.

At times the fridge gives a high pitch whining when we close door. We have recently moved house and transported the fridge.

A fridge must be transported upright or if not left idle for several hours in it's new home before switching on. Failing to do that can seriously reduce the life of the compressor as also failing to ensure it is adjusted level to a spirit level or plumb-line accuracy can similarly do so.

A frost free fridge can produce quite a lot of water depending on the usage, the contents and ambient humidity. The water in the capture container that is fitted directly to the top of the compressor should evaporate almost as soon as it is produced due to the heat generated by the compressor.

It is possible the fridge isn't producing abnormal amounts of water unless the door seal is faulty, the door is being left open for periods that are too long or hot food or very moist food is routinely being placed inside.
It is possible the water isn't evaporating fast enough because the compressor isn't getting hot enough - possibly because it isn't working hard enough or perhaps it is cycling too quickly. Perhaps it has lost some refrigerant...

I have a honda EB3000C generator that does not throttle up automatically when a load is applied

So with no load, governor holds engine at normal rpm, but apply electrical load and rpms decrease. So most likely a carburetor issue. If you have't drained the fuel bowl recently, do so. Leave fuel valve open and capture at least a 2 pints (1/2 liter) into an empty dry gasoline container. Be sure to capture first flow as water will be first out.

Pour a fuel sample (cup or so) into clear glass container. Be sure to vigorously shake the gas container before pouring. Wait a few seconds and look for a visible water line. If you detect water drain the generator fuel tank and refuel with fresh fuel.

Could also be there's something wrong with throttle linkage but suggest you check fuel first.

Please comment here with results.

How to flush coolant on 2004 grand prix

  • Move your badass w-body (a.k.a. Pontiac Grand Prix) to a level area and set the parking brake. Pop the hood and touch the radiator. If it's warm let it cool before you continue.
  • Twist the radiator cap one full turn (Remember to be careful because even when radiators are cool they can still erupt coolant)
  • Place any type of container (bucket [but has to be able to hold 2 gallons]) underneath the radiator and blow the drain plug. (The drain plug on your Grand Prix is on the driver's side bottom of the radiator facing the engine.)
  • Loosen the drain plug and let the old coolant to drain completely. (You may need a wrench to loosen the drain plug)
  • Dispose the old coolant in a sealable container (The coolant is very toxic to people and pets, so you gotta be careful)
  • Shut the radiator drain plug and fill the radiator with water.
  • Run car for a little bit and repeat the process again. (Let car cool, and drain water)
  • Close the drain plug and fill the radiator with fresh coolant until it's about an inch from overflowing. (DO NOT USE ORANGE DEX COOLANT IT IS HARMFUL FOR YOUR HEADGAKETS) You will need 3 gallons of coolant (SE, GT, GT1, GT2, GTP, GTP Comp G.) and 4 for the GXP model. Be sure to check the drain plug for any leakage.
  • Start your car and turn the heating system to high. Allow the car to keep running until the cooling fan turns on twice. After that happens, switch off the engine and check the coolant level. If it went down, add more coolant. If not, put the radiator cap back on and close the hood.

Water in crisper drawer of Whirlpool model number ET18TK

the water in the bottom of the fridge will be from condensate running down the back wall and not collecting in the drain ridge to flow outside to the dish on top of the compressor. It comes from overloading the fridge by opening the door too often and excess food trying to cool down. check and unplug any blockages in the drain and pull any containers away from the back wall as water will flow off the wall onto them and miss the drain all together. The drain ridge will be under 1/2 way down the back

How to do an oil change on a 1996 Chevrolet Corsia

The same way you would on almost any vehicle. Remove the oil drain plug and drain oil into a approved container. Then remove the oil filter and drain any remaining oil from there into the container. Then when it's all drained out. screw the drain plug back in and install a new oil filter. Make sure to put some oil around the gasket of the new oil filter. Now fill up your oil with the correct oil for your engine and the correct amount. Usually start with about 4 quarts and then check the dip stick and keep filling accordingly.
thank you and enjoy,

How to change coolant

The best way for a change is at a lube shop.
At home, you can drain, capture all fluid, dispose of old fluid correctly, and you can drain most through a carefully removed lower rad hose.

The lube shop hooks up fill and drain hoses to your system, you run the car (and heater!!), and they pump in new coolant and keep doing so until the fluid exiting is clean.

Antifreeze kills animals and they are attracted to the fluid. It must be contained and disposed of properly.

What you put in your coolign system needs to be near a quart per cylinder, and water. the mix details comes from how cold it gets where you live, plus some spare...do the mix with water that acheives that. Straight coolant doesn't work.

How do you add transmission fluid to a 2000 town country

The tranny fluid is added through the tranny dipstick (make sure it's not the oil dipstick). Fluid color should be red and the dipstick should have instructions on how to check level (car in park, engine at idle). Funnels are your friend here.

I have a Kitchenaide Superba side by side refrigerator model #KSRB25FKSS02 and for the last 2 months nothing seems to last more than 3 days in the frig side (it seems warmer), and there is water leaking...

Your evaporator coils frost up in normal use and every eight hours or so the entire unit shuts down and the defrost heater comes on to melt the frost. This cycle last about 20 minutes. The melted frost drips into a drain pan and through a drain tube to the drain tray under the freezer/refrigerator where it's evaporated by the condenser fan.

Your drain tube may be stopped up with ice at the upper end because it drains too slow because it's stopped up at the lower end in the evaporator pan under the unit at the floor. It can get dust and mold in it. Once you get the ice out at the top a little pressure with a turkey baster will usually clear it out. Flushing it out with hot water and clorox may help.
Make sure it drains quick enough to prevent refreezing. . The drain should be located below the evaporator coils on the lower back of the freezer.

The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper) between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air through it. Make sure this fan is running. You may have to hold the door switch in for it to run. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp.
The problem could be the electronic control if you have one or the mechanical linkages.
