What trans,, auto or stick, we cant guess drivelines,
not possible ,
4wd?
The ABS , auto backup system is not bad. (jokes) sorry.
no engine size stated, guess what trans matches engines.
Trailer hacking can kill any lighting back aft.
let me guess, an a/T box. (tossed a coin1)
4L30e is my guess. box real name, coin 2.
well its simple
12v power leaves that fuse. and goes to
PRNLD switch on the 4l30e.
and in Reverse that 12vdc lands on R, contact pin, in Reverse.
then to rear of car.via WiRES.
and to the lamps, 2 lamps and wires.
we use a $20 voltmeter to find WHERE you lost 12v.
super easy.
lamps can short inside or burn up.(new lamps are 50cents. loose base lamps short.
china junk lamps, yah short.
tell me lamps cost more than new ABS box. wow.
i'd bet there wiring there is a mess.
next time ask first how to find a problem.
and win.
cb fuse cab fuse 15 must be good;.
measure it if they look ok,
some have hailine cracks, never guess
measure. and win, if they look blown there ARE.
wht-green wire from there to A?T reverse switch.
exits reverse switch red-yell
and stays that color to both lamps
and the lamps must be grouned or there will be no light,(black wires)
if black measure 12v in reverse,
the grounds are BAD.
its as simple as a flash light.
day 1 it looked like this
if hacked, good luck ! I cant see it, or say what to do.
simple to a fault.
on my car 2 computers talk and,, nah, be happy it's simple;.

The ABS controller has nothing to do with the back lights. Please anyone reading this post, do not mess with anything concerning ABS systems. An ABS light on will not effect conventional brake function. It can only be serviced by a trained tech. Also very expensive. Your original problem is most likely at the harness connector, located in the frame between the rear axel and bumper. If the truck has been used for pulling and launching a boat, this is where a trailer light harness is tapped into for trailer lights. Backing a boat into the water compromises this connector. (corrosion will not let the truck lights work) The connector is usually on left side frame rail) Conductive grease after cleaning
