SOURCE: bypass stock amp

You need to:

Wire the low level output from the new 'deck' into the stock amp input.

Or replace the stock amp with an aftermarket amp.

Can you replace a stock amp with a after market amp without rewiring speaker 2001 sort track

What kind of vehicle? and yes you can ive done this on a few german cars. If your not up to snooping the web for factory diagrams I recommend going to the speakers directly which may require popping door panels off etc... for multiple reasons 1 to label the wire colors to match them at the amp so I can draw a diagram on a piece of paper 2 check the condition of the speaker for tears wear etc....3 to mark any labeling on the back of the speaker especially the impedance values this is super important in wiring on a aftermarket 2 channel amp heres a link to help : http://www.ehow.com/how_6312803_wire-four-speakers-2_channel-amp.html . Once youve jotted down all speaker wiring colors and connected to the amp I would recommend running your own 12v power from the battery and ignition power and ground wires make sure to cap off factory power wires... good luck

You can use the amps if your replacement speakers have the same or higher resistance as compared to the original speakers.

I have a 92 marquis, and ive just changed out the factory stereo with a aftermarket. How can i hookup the amp that came with the bose system??

If you bought a wiring adapter kit for the aftermarket stereo, the unit should hook up directly to the stock bose system. Note: If there is sound coming from the speakers after installation, the amp IS hooked up...the speaker wiring is routed to the factory amplifier, not the stereo itself, the stereo wiring is just signal leads to the amplifier. In some instances, you may have to connect the amp remote wire to the remote wire coming from the aftermarket stereo(blue wire). I hope this helps. Any other questions, just reply.

Audio system upgrade

I'm not sure of the system that comes stock in your wrangler but what I like to do is replace the stock speakers with infinity perfect speakers. You can find out on the internet exactly what sizes are stock then usually I just buy them off ebay. If you look them up there are a lot of brand new in box with free shipping. The infinity perfect speakers I think have the best overall sound for the price. If it still isn't loud enough for you get your self a little 200 watt amp and use an inline splice with the factory Rear speaker wires behind your head unit and for the inputs to the amp. Make sure and leave the stock wiring so if u want to sell the jeep but keep the speakers; all you have to do is unplug and go.

Radio on but no sound

i have a 1994 eagle vision, with the premium sound system (infinity) and yes you do have a amp in your car if you have that sound system and its in the trunk of your car to the left while looking at your trunk from the back of the car :) also if you tryed putting in diffrent speakers other then stock thats your problem you have to rewire new speakers cant use old wiring because it goes threw the stock amp and for some reason the stock amp only works with the stock speakers :P

BE MORE SPECIFIC!

Why do you need to trace them? Is it a stock amp? If you know where the amp is....then tracing the wiring is a cinch....

The amp has to be powered, so there's most likely a power wire from your battery. If it's a stock amp, it's powered from behind your cd player. And be more specific, what speakers? There's like what, six?

They all go to one spot man, right behind the cd player.

What's spiking? The sound? As in it's loud, quiet, loud, quiet, loud? You might have a bad ground somewhere, so check grounds. Those are easy to find, behind the deck the ground is black. If it's an aftermarket amp, then the ground is going to be close by to it. It's most likely screwed to the steel part of your car.

It could be your deck to, it might have just got randomly defective. You do have a 96 after all.

If it's an aftermarket cd player...check your wiring harness. You have to cut the wires from the car to tie them into the harness for your cd player, so jiggle those around to see if you can hear a difference.
