Toyota hiace commuter automatic petrol & Gas..new engine..the wehicle is doing the same thing as previously..when I change from Gas to petrol the engine stols..what can it be?

Ok the tensioner is mounted to the engine block the belt is spring loaded .The spring is inside the tensioner the pulley rides on the belt .This is called a preload .On most belt tensioner this is the correct spelling of tensioner don't know why they say this is wrong .
ON most tensioners their will be a point to move it in reverse of the tention of the spring move it back remove the belt remove the bolt holding down the tensioner to the block
I nstall new one reroute belt compress tensioner

SOURCE: I have installed a reconditioned engine on Toyota hiace commuter automatic 06 petrol 2.7eng .it starts unstable and after two minutes it goes well..any idea of what I need doing?

Possible bad coolant temp sensor telling ECU engine is warmer than it really is.

SOURCE: Hi, my Toyota hiace commuter automatic petrol 2.7lit overheatad with no warning signs, there is no sign of leek anywhere..i think that maybe a problem with the watter pump, ore something else.

The most common reason would be the engine has a leaking head gasket.
