I replace plugs and wires one at a time, That way you don't lose track of which spark plug wire goes where. If your working under the vehicle, there are safety issues, safety is your responsibility. I hope you can read that? Working through the wheel wells may be your best bet. If you see a better way, use your best judgement. Of course you'll need proper tools.

Chevy 95 g20 van 8 cylinder wiring order spark plugs

1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 The #1 spark plug is the front spark plug on the drivers side and the cylinder location in order from front to back on the drivers side is 1-3-5-7 and on the passenger side it is 2-4-6-8. The ignition rotor rotation is clockwise.

If your Distributor cap is not numbered then replace the new wires, or transfer the old ones to the new distributor cap one wire at a time. Identify the #1 spark plug wire and start from there.

On 96 chevy van cylinder 5 misfire changed plugs wires cap n rotor checked coil n egnition modulator

Check the plug wires with a spark tester, to see if they all spark good. That will verify all of the parts you replaced. If they look good, do a compression test on cylinder five.
