My 2002 Chrysler Sebring is leaking water, what cause this.

If nothing is leaking externally from engine area, then I'd have my exhaust analyzed for coolant coming out the exhaust. Bad intake gasket or head gasket usually indicated by coolant out the exhaust pipe.

Replace thermostat and bleed air from system

Yes you are correct the water pump is driven by the timing belt so if it leaks it will run down the back side of the engine from behind the timing belt cover :)

water pump impeller has come adrift from the drive shaft ,well they are plastic and its a common fault with a lot of modern cars.this is last question ,,,axe men on tv followed by NCIS then time team.so iam off unless fixya pay me for answering free questions

To stop the leak it will have to be replaced and a speedy sleave will have to be insalled on the crank surface this is not a little job and should be taken to a shop to fix. The transmisson has to be unhooked and backed away to work on it. For a shop to do it it's about 6 hours work Guessing cause don't know if it's 4 or v-6. Good luuck, If the seal fails all the way it can pour oil out fast enough to damage the engine if you let it go.

Could be a bad oil pressure switch, or a bad oil pump. Both will cause this issue. Hope it is the switch b/c the oil pump is a costly repair.

It depends on where the leak is coming from. If the water pump is leaking, it has a hole on the bottom of it. You will see a trail of dried anti freeze coming from the bottom of it, indicating a bad water pump. It's best to dry everything off, crank it up and let it come to operating temp and check for where the leak is coming from. It may just be an old hose or loose clamp.
