Your vehicle doesn't have spark plug wires . Has coil on plug ignition system . Eight individual coils sitting right on top of the spark plugs . An the spark plugs have the tendency to break in the cylinder head . Does your ford have the 5.4 L 3 valve engine . Your best bet is to take your vehicle to a qualified repair shop that has the tool to take the broken spark plug out off the cylinder head. Locate sparks plugs and wires

You won't find any wires...That vehicle is equtpped with Coil On Plug (COP) ignition. The spark plugs are located under the ignition coils. It is not recommended that you try to replace the spark plugs unless you have access to compressed air to blow dirt and debris out of the spark plug holes. I have had to replace many engine valves because of this.

Where are the spark plugs in the 2006 ford expedition

The spark plugs are located below the 'coil pack' in a hollow tube in the head. You must remove the spark coil retaining screw to access the removal of the soark coil. The reoval with expose the spark plug at the bottom of the hollow tube in the head. The total spark coil is about 6-7" long and when it comes out that is when you will see the spark plug at the bottom of that tube. It sounds difficult to find but once you know it is easy. There is no coil wire(typical spark plug wire) attached to the spark coil. It is fed by a special connector on the side of the spark coil. Look on the side that has the least number of hoses and equipment in the way. Find the top of the spark coil (about 1-3/4-2" in dia) with a wire connected on the side. There is a single small metric bolt holding the spark coil in place. It will not come out until that screw is removed. I hope that this helps.

Ignition Distributor location

There is no cap and rotor, as the vehicles igntion system is DIS (digital ignition system). The recommended tune-up on these motors require sparkplug and coil replacement. The coil type in this vehicle is COPs (coil over plugs). Usually moist and oxidation develope on the sparkplug chamber walls from faulty or worn coil boots. This causes the coil to short, they must be replaced at 75,000 miles at the same time the sparkplugs are replaced. Typical symtoms are: Vehicle stalls (restarts and runs normal), intermitted jerks/sputter while driving, misfires, rough idle, severe power loss. Hopefully this helps

Where are the spark plugs located?

You have what is called a 'coil-over plug' system, which means there is a seperate ignition coil for each plug. On each side you will see 4 small plastic boxes with a single bolt and some wires plugged into it. Remove the bolt, unplug the wires and pull the coil out. the plug is in the hole. Repeat for all 8.

2001 ford expedition spark plug location

That's because they are hidden quite well. If you look at the engine, you'll see yellow plastic prongs (?) that look like spark plugs, but hook up to the silver tubing.  That's the fuel injectors.  BUT, right behind the yellow plugs, are black ones.  The black one is the connector to the spark plug.  The plug itself sits about 4 inches down into the block of the engine.  They are a real pain, and from what I can tell, you only have decent access to the first 2-4 of them, then they get too far back and start going under the dash (you'll see what I mean when you get there).

# 4 cyclinder

Number 4 cylinder is the 2nd cylinder back on the driver side. Check to see if your EGR valve is clogged with carbon. If it is, clean it out and I like to remove the EGR tube from the exhaust to valve and clean it out as well. The EGR tube is a metal tube. Remove the spark plug and see if it's been firing. How long has it been since it's had a set of plugs and wires?
