The PCV valve lives in the breather pipe going between the inlet and the crankcase and is usually well hidden. Disconnect the breather pipe from the inlet and slide a stiff piece of electrical wire gently down and that hopefully should give you an idea of its exact location.

SOURCE: bonnet release in grill broke renault megane scenic

when you say the bonnet has been pushed in do you mean like in a traffic accident if this is the case then is your grill damaged, the reason i say this is the only way you are going to open your bonnet is through your grill so a replacement grill will be needed.if you take this course of action, take a torch and look up under the bonnet you will se the bonnet realease at the very front of your bonnet it will have the bonnet realease cable attached you might need help at this stage, get a friend to push down on your bonnet, put your hand in and push or pull the lever until it releases as this works on a hook system and with the damage it might need a pretty stronge screwdriver to force it always remember the radiator is very easly damaged and very costly to replace .Hope this will help you get your bonnet open .adrian

SOURCE: PCV valve for 2004 Hona CRV

PCV Valve Operation: 0900823d80049deb.jpgA vacuum-controlled metering device that regulates the flow of crankcase fumes in the positive crankcase ventilation system by allowing more flow at high speed than at low speed, and acts as a system shutoff in case of engine backfire to prevent an explosion in the crankcase.
Depending on your engine size, the PCV is a different style and slightly different location.

Usually they are mounted in a hole on your valve cover.... connected by a vacuum tube.
Some are mounted with threads into the engine block (usually by the oil filter)

On the '04 Crv - it is nearly inaccessible behind the AC compressor and beneath what looks like an old vacuum advance. Most PCV valves today do not need to be replaced, unless there is actual valve failure, which I have not seen happen. I would not be concerned about replacing it.

Thanks for using FixYa - a FixYa rating is appreciated!!

SOURCE: inner door panel removal, renault megane scenic

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls

SOURCE: How difficult is it to change the PCV valve. 2004

PCV is an acronym for positive crankcase ventilation.
The PCV Valve is a very common replacement item on many engines today. It's called the PCV valve for short but it stands for Positive Crankcase Ventilation. When your engine spins it many times collects pressure in the crankcase area, and it has to escape to relieve pressure on the motors bearings and seals. The PCV valve and PCV system is typically located near the intake manifold, and many times comes right off of the valve cover. It is very simple to replace the PCV valve, and you can do so by simply unscrewing it, and screwing in the new valve. We recommend using a little bit of teflon tape or paste to make sure you do not get any oil leaks.
Example (see picture below): 2,4 ltr. Audi V6 engine (BDV, AMM)

Renault megane scenic(97) 8 valve misfiring badly and a metallic rattle???

Sounds possibly like a damaged valve or follower. Closer inspection of camshaft and followers is required, if nothing obvious then possibly cylinder head removal for thorough investigation.
