You will have to determine if the vehicle has spark as well as fuel pressure. Pull a plug wire off and ground it over the engine. Crank the engine and it should spark. If spark is ok, you will most likely have a fuel supply issue. You will need to hook a fuel pressure gauge to the fuel rail test port to determine if pressure is available. If no pressure suspect a fuel pump or power/ground supply issue to it

My 94 Thunderbird won't start until like the 4th crank, then it runs like a champ. It acts like it isn't getting any fuel. Please help!

You may be right on your hunch.
The fuel pump gets power from the pump relay for 3 seconds when you turn the key on, then no power until the engine starts. If the fuel pressure is low it could take several trys to get the pressure up to normal and the engine start.
A mechanic would check the pump relay and the fuel pressure with a gauge before and after cranking the engine.

I have a 96 Chevy s10 it cranks but won't start I

You need to find out if the fuel pump is working, getting gas up to the engine.
If the pump is working and seen to have good fuel pressure, check ignition by checking for spark.. To work, the engine needs, you know, gas, air, spark, and compression. Why people say, check for gas, check for spark.

1985 grand Marquis acts like not getting fuel to start but if I pour gas directly into throttle body starts right up and runs what could be problem

Runs on the gas you pour in, or keeps running until you turn the key off ???
If the fuel pump relay fails, you would have to crank the engine until you get oil pressure to provide power to the fuel pump.
Do the injectors spray when you are cranking it ? Have you checked fuel pressure when the key is turned to start ?

if no crank sensor by timing cover, some vehicles are controlled at the distributor. the 95-96 have sensor by cover . before 1995 this its controlled by distributor. there is no "crank sensor" on that engine the pick-up coil inside the distributor acts as the crank reference for that engine. have a good day !! 4.3 vortex engine.

It will shut off while while idling, has shut off while driving. Cranks right back up most of the time but sometimes acts lke it is flooded and takes awhile to crank.

Check the fuel pressure and/or replace the fuel filter. This is the basic place to start, and is my response with the info yoiu provided.
