If it just intermittently shuts down as though you turned off the key, chances are good that you are looking at a camshaft or crankshaft position sensor. They cost $75 to $80 each and are fairly easy to install. A mechanic can test them, but they may pass if the vehicle is running at the time they are tested.

Are you positive its the fuel pump? Have you tried running the pump with the return line off to see if it pumps fuel? They don't always have to make a noise.

Possible early signs of a water pump problem. A failing waterpump will circulate coolent when the RPMS are high but when you slow down, so does the waterpump, thereby causing overheating.

maybe your fuel pump stop working or a blown fuse for the fuel pump or ignition coil. First checked for blown fuses

you have to take off the speedometer cable/wiring harness from the top of the trans and fill it from there....one 10mm bolt...very awkward spot...it might be snug, so just take a flat head screwdriver from underneath to tap it loose...
