Common issue with the 2003 Model G35. The culprit is the radio/HVAC circuit board. Unfortunately, since the OEM radio and HVAC system is integrated, it means replacing the entire circuit board which can be pricey. Google "Infiniti ITB03-007" for more information.

Which fuses control dashboard lights on 2006 Ford 500

Instrument Cluster and Panel Illumination The instrument panel dimmer switch (part of the headlamp switch) allows the brightness level of the backlights and displays to be adjusted dependent upon the headlamp switch position and the instrument panel dimmer switch position. The instrument panel dimmer switch is monitored by the smart junction box (SJB). When the parking lamps are on, the SJB controls the lighting by sending a pulse width modulated (PWM) dimming signal to the dimmable lighted components and a message over the medium speed controller area network (CAN) to the electronic automatic temperature control (EATC) (if equipped), the audio unit and the instrument cluster. The following components are dimmable:
  • audio unit
  • instrument cluster
  • EATC module
  • manual temperature control
  • steering wheel controls (includes speed control, redundant audio [if equipped], and message center switches [if equipped])
  • headlamp switch
  • PRNDL display (part of the shifter assembly)
  • adjustable pedals switch (if equipped)
  • center stack (includes the hazard, traction control, and parking aid switches [if equipped])
  • analog clock (if equipped)
  • decklid release switch (if equipped)
The following components are not dimmable and are illuminated when the ignition switch is in the ON position:
  • auxiliary climate control switches (if equipped)
  • door lock control switches
  • window control switches
  • Inspection and Verification
    1. Verify the customer concern.
    1. Visually inspect for obvious signs of electrical damage.

    1. If an obvious cause for an observed or reported concern is found, correct the cause (if possible) before proceeding to the next step.
    1. Verify the exterior lamps operate correctly. If the exterior lamps do not operate correctly, refer to Section 417-01 to continue diagnosis of the exterior lamps.
    1. If the cause is not visually evident, connect the diagnostic tool to the data link connector (DLC) and select the vehicle to be tested from the diagnostic tool menu. If the diagnostic tool does not communicate with the vehicle:
    • check that the program card is correctly installed.
    • check the connections to the vehicle.
    • check the ignition switch position.
    1. If the diagnostic tool still does not communicate with the vehicle, refer to the diagnostic tool operating manual.
    1. Carry out the diagnostic tool data link test. If the diagnostic tool responds with:
    • CAN circuits fault; all electronic control units no response/not equipped, refer to Section 418-00 .
    • No response/not equipped for SJB, refer to Section 419-10 .
    • No response/not equipped for instrument cluster, refer to Section 413-01 .
    • System passed, retrieve and record the continuous diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), erase the continuous DTCs, and carry out the self-test diagnostics for the SJB and the instrument cluster.
    1. If the DTCs retrieved are related to the concern, go to the Smart Junction Box (SJB) Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Index.
    1. If no DTCs related to the concern are retrieved, GO to Symptom Chart . 2004 g35 over heating, just bought a new thremostat but still overheats only when i drive it

I think the OP was referring to an engine overheating issue only while driving. If you are certain there are no air pockets in the system and the thermostat has been bench tested to verify opening temperature then its possible This could be from a failed water pump. I believe those years had plastic impellers on the water pump. If that broke you are getting no coolant circulation even though the water pump appears to be turning via the accessory drive belt. Also verify there are no obstructions I.e. dirt, bugs etc clogging vital airflow over the radiator. Debris can also get stuck between the condenser and the radiator as well and hinder airflow. Also verify your fans are working even though you state its cool at idle. Good luck!

Interior blower only blows up to warm on 1997 A4 2.7ltr

Check the blend door cable for proper attachment to the control panel and to the blend door. Try opening the door manually to see the you can get hot air out. If not, the door may be broken inside the heater box. If yes, correct/adjust the cable attachment for proper operation.

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
1990-97 Passat Models
Install the cable ends marked with a white or blue band to the control head assembly. The cables must be attached to the control head before connection to the system air flaps.
  1. Remove the climate control head from the center dash assembly to access the control head cable ends.
  2. Remove the lower dash panels as necessary to access the cable lever arms.
  3. Attach the airflow distribution cable (cable 2) to the airflow distribution knob's lower control lever.

This cable can be identified as follows:
Operates the mode/central air flap Cable has a black sleeve and is 25.0 inches (634 mm) long Cable is marked with a white band
  1. Press the cable's sleeve against the control head stop and install the retaining clip.
  2. Attach the temperature control/air blend cable (cable 3) to the air temperature knob's control lever.

This cable can be identified as follows:

  1. Install the cable such that the blue band is over the retaining clip mount and install the retaining clip directly over the blue band.
  2. Install the climate control head.
  3. Set the air flow distribution knob to defrost.
  4. Connect the longest airflow cable (cable 1) to the footwell/defroster flap lever on the heater's air box.
  5. Press and hold the flap's lever toward the retaining clamp perch and install the cable retaining clip.
  6. Set the airflow distribution knob to the Vent position.
  7. Connect the short airflow cable (cable 2) to the central/mode flap's lever.
  8. Pull and hold the mode flap's lever away from the retaining clamp perch and install the cable retaining clip. Check the operation of both air flaps making sure they can be heard contacting their stops.
  9. Set the temperature control knob to full cold.
  10. Connect the blue-sleeved cable (cable 3) to the air blend/temperature flap's lever.
  11. Pull and hold the mode flap's lever away from the retaining clamp perch and install the cable retaining clip. Check the operation of the air blend/temperature flap making sure it can be heard contacting the stops.

If you did a coolant flush recently then air pocket can be the cause of the un-even heating problem.

The DIY method is to drive you car onto a ramp or a steep hill.

Iet the engine cool off and top off the coolant tank.

A car with over 90K miles may experience linkage problem to the heater control valve.

The heater control valve (near the firewall) may be stick over time.

Open the hood and move the heater to max and min. Back and forth.

Clean and lube the linkage with WD-40 to free the heater control valve.

If it's a vacuum type heater control valve then cash for leaky vac. hoses.

Move the fan switch back and forth to re-new the electrical conductors.

Pass a vacuum over the control panel to prevent dust build up behind the console.
