Jeep grand cherokee stepper motors were can i buy them

Speedometer & gas gauge not working ? Probably the stepper motors inside the instrument cluster are bad. 2003 to 2006 GM had bad stepper motors . google it .

What make , model an year vehicle ? Probably not a trans problem . Transmission has nothing to do with RPM gauge .More likely instrument cluster problem . GM vehicle's had a problem with stepper motors in the instrument cluster , these stepper motors are what control the gauge movement . This problem was 2003 to 2006 . Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop.

again, you can not marry a cluster, ever, with out factory scan tools. why would you try to use a USA miles cluster.
why? why not ask JEEP THAT, ;you will be told NO.
on many newer cars the VIN has to match too.
and the ODOMETER must be MARRIED, not by you.

the cluster has a self test mode (why not do that first????)
after checking both cluster fuse first., with a volt meter. (12v both side fuse is good fuse,keyon)

we do the self test next.

Are all other gauges working, if not check fuses , all good and getting power, take a look at the speed sensor

GM had gauge cluster problems from 2000-2005. Bad stepper motors. On those units you have to replace the cluster or rebuild it with new stepper motors. Dealership can fix for around $150.00

Before buying a new battery ...have your electrical system checked ...usually about 35 to fifty bucks or so ...worthy it ....instead of buying some thing you don't need ....like a battery ,alternator ...good luck
