Drain plug is at bottom of tranny, the fill hole is on the side of tranny about half way up from the bottom of tranny. I think they are about 22mm in size or 7/8".

Text based help and videos. The best way is to measure what comes out and replace the same quantity. If it has a manual dipstick, you can fill by level once it has warmed up, then turned off and settled.

Hi! On a 5 speed Manual transmission 2005 Pontiac Wave, where is the drain and fill located?

There is no drain and the fill is done under the car at a fill port. The pan must be removed to drain fluid. This job is best left to a skilled technician as a scan tool is needed to adjust fluid level correctly, overfilling the transmission will cause an early failure.

Finding where to put transmission fluid can be a bit of a challenge on some cars. In fact there are some transmissions that you can't even add fluid to.But that's not the case on your vehicle.

First confirm the level of fluid before filling it.==========For exact transmission fluid replacing/filling procedure.Go through the list of help links below:-----its having complete step by step procedure.Click the link :----

How much trans fluid capacity in the manual 5 speed dodge stealth

never change filter as i dont think it exsists. The fill should be located on the transmission up from the drain. You fill untill fluid pours out and stops then replace plug. Car must be level.

How do i change the transmission fluid for my manual Nissan maxima 1996?i cant seem to find any pictures or diagram on how to change it.

manual transmissions should have a drain plug on or near the bottom of the transmission and a fill plug near the top of the transmission. Remove both plugs and drain gear lube into pan. Replace drain plug. Fill with recommended fluid through top hole and then replace that plug.

How do I change the Manual Transmission fluid in my 1999 Jeep Wrangler 4 cyl ? Do I have a AX5 or a AX15 Transmission ? Please Advise. Is there a difference in changing the fluid ? Based on the pictures...

What you are looking at is likely a temp sensor. why not remove it with an open end wrench? If you can find the plug on the wire, then you can use a box wrench. Bottom line is the fluid will drain after it's out.
Before opening the drain, make sure you can open the fill port or you will be in trouble. I believe they use atf in those units. fill till it begins to run out of the fill port.

Chevy Aveo Manual transmission fluid

Keith, Searched the net on this, a little confusion on this one and not a lot out there. The pan/ diff. cover has to be removed or at least loosened some to change the fluid. Check the attached link, instruction and guide, Good luck

Where do you check transmission fluid 1995 pontiac firebird manual transmission 3.4 liter

Actually, on the manual tranny its more like a thin grease. There is a plug located on the side of the transmission, When you remove the plug, you should be able to stick your pinky in the hole and get a little grease on your finger. The fill line is to the bottom of the plug.

Changing the transmission fluid

Once you've drained the transaxle by removing drain plug, re-install drain plug and torque to mfg. specs. To fill transaxle, you need a 5/8" square drive attached to a 9" extension, breaker bar or ratchet. Raise vehicle on hoist, or jack up and secure with jackstands. The fill plug is located above and slightly to the right of the location where the passenger side c.v. halfshaft enters the transaxle. Remove fill plug. Using a fluid exchange tool available at your local parts store, fill with automatic transmission/transaxle fluid available only from a Suzuki dealership, (part# ESSO LT 71141) until fluid starts to run out of fill hole, then replace fill plug, and torque to manufacturer specifications. I'm a former Suzuki technician. I hope this was helpful.
