Hi .
unlikely to be immobiliser fault ,so check basics, try a set of jump leads or check battery voltage above 12.5,if the clicking is coming from the starter motor with a fully charged battery then suspect starter motor failure.

Car won't start. lights, air, radio have power. makes clicking sound

The clicking sound indicates either the starter or the starter solenoid are bad. You can pull it and take it to the parts store where they ckeck it and tell you for sure which it is and give you the correct replacement part.

Check engine light

there are hundreds of reasons the check engine light comes on, when the light comes on a code or codes are set in the memory of the on board computer, here is what u do, go to any Kragen or Autozone parts store and then ask for a trouble code test, it is a free service. the radio can be the door switch, the car has a feature called delayed exit.

Jaguar 2.1 litre petrol will not start

jump start vehicle with commercial grade leads and see what happens,,might just need a new battery sounds like its low and has no reserve amperage although a volt check will show ok,or test it with a proper discharge gauge to see if a cell has packed up.

Wont start

Inertia switch located on the passengers side (under the dash). You may need to remove a small door to get access to it. If you have not been in an accident, then it was probably tripped accidentally. Simply press the button, and it will reset. This should get your car running again. Good Luck!

Wont start

Hi
Had a similar problem with my x type 2.5 petrol, only had the car 1 day went to start it nothing happend all the lights came up on the dash but the engine wouldn't start and the immobiliser light stayed on. Spoke to Jaguar they had no idea and I couldn't get it to them. After disconnecting the battery trying to reset the immobiliser phoned and auto locksmith they came out and discovered the end of the key with the blade had lost it's coding and the immobiliser was not disarming, they reprogrammed the key and the car started no problem. As far as i know there is no way past the immobiliser. Hope this helps.
