Never come across this issue. Initial glance a the internet recommends using the hard key and cycle your door lock (lock/unlock) and then try to start your car.
Anti THEFT cuts off fuel pump and the ignition module. That is what it is for. The theft light on the dash should be on too. Something tripped the anti-theft system Try resetting the anti-theft module by locking and unlocking the drivers door with the key.
The manual unlock is operated by a set of small levers in the door. Either the connecting rod between the key mech and the door lock has become loose or the mechanism inside the lock itself is faulty.
Modern cars don't like being unlocked manually, you might have tripped the security system by trying to unlock the door, which could be why the anti-theft mode is giving you a warning. It's usually more of a warning that someone has tampered with the door locks and couldn't gain entry or something like that. If your car came with a manual for the security system, read up on it.
maybe the locks are frozen but your post says and now the anti theft display on the dash what ? what's happening does your key/s go all the way in the locks do you have enemies that would possibly crazy glue your locks? if so put tape around a good portion to cover the paint and spray or pour brake parts cleaner into the lock or acetone this will eat the glue and free up the lock be careful of the paint it eats that to
Here are two methods to reset the anti-theft system on 2007 Chevy Malibu:
1st method
1. Put the ignition in on position, let it breathe for 10 minutes, and remove it when the anti-theft system light stops blinking.
2. Crank up the engine; it should now start
2nd method
• While outside the car, press and hold the lock and unlock button together
• Let go when the car honks and the lights flash
• Put the key in the ignition and rotate to the ON position, and leave there for 30 seconds
• Switch on the car, and the anti-theft system would have reset
Cars equipped with keyless entry are common now. They contain a remote key chain that triggers the door to unlock. Inorder to reset the anti Theft device on the 2007 Impala a scan tool is needed. It does sometimes reset after 10 min.
if the theft light is flashing fast, the PATS(passive anti-theft system) can only be reset with a ford scanner... you can try leaving the key in the on position for a little over an hour, sometimes it works.
