I have a kubota bx1500 model no. B 40 C. Only when trying to move the right side travel-speed lever from slow and trying to go to neutral..is beginning to be more and more difficult (this being attempted with engine running but movement completely stopped). It feels like the lever doesn't want to move e from that position into neutral unless I wiggle it toward neutral and back many times until it wants to go into neutral. It moves smooth as silk from every other position. How can I fix this??

Repair /replace that control as there may be pressure escaping past a seal inside that is preventing the piston/ valve from moving by placing pressure on the other side of the valve/piston

1993. How can I move the 4WD lever?

I think that version of the Cherokee needs you to be travelling at less than 3 mph to change your ratios. Try this...
Come to a complete stop. Keep your foot on the brake or apply the park brake. Put the vehicle into neutral. Firmly slide the 4wd lever to the ratio you want. Put it back in gear, as you would normally, and drive. Try to keep the 4wd lever out of the N position.

Why can't I put my vehicle in Neutral or 4 Lo I have no owners manual

Did someone tell you not to move the shift lever or can you not physically move it?? If it's a GC, the lever is always in the forward position during normal use (shifts into 4x4 by itself when needed). Neutral is used for towing (if you break down) and low is only used in deep snow or mud, never above 15mph. If you cannot move the lever, chances are that it has rusted in that position. If so, spray the under car linkage with wd 40 or other good solvent and work the lever gently 'till it moves again.

How to force car into nuetral when shift cable is broken

You will have to move the selector lever which is located on the driver side of the transmission. Go under the car below the driver door and you will see the selector lever on the side of the transmission where your broken cable is attached. I believe neutral is the second "click" you feel when you move the lever manually from the left to the right. Try moving the lever one click at a time until you find neutral.

Make sure the parking brake is on when you do this, other wise the car could roll right up on you.

Good luck.

1971 ford f100 pickup neutral safety switch wiring color code

Ford Neutral Safety Switch; Ford Reverse Light Switch; Backup Light Switch.

The Neutral Safety Switch wires in my 1971 Ford F100 are orange with a blue stripe.
The Reverse, or Backup Light Switch wires are black with a red stripe.

There are two sets of two wires across this combined neutral safety and backup light switch, for a total of 4 wires. Photos are at the end of this post.

The switch for the 1971 Ford F100 pickup truck is the same as in many other years and models. For details, including parts numbers, see the following quote from an expert at Ford Truck Enthusiasts:
http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/287185-back-up-light-and-neutral-safety-switch-2.html#post5601846

The neutral switch also controls the backup lights, and is the same 1967/77.

C7TZ-7A247-A .. Neutral/Backup Switch (Motorcraft SW-600)

There is no separate backup light switch..except on 1967/68 F350's.

Neutral switch location 1967/77:

The plastic half moon shaped neutral safety switch mounts on the outside lower portion of the steering column (NOT on the transmission!).

It's activated by an inverted Y shaped lever that snaps on the shift tube

D0TZ-7B097-B .. Lever, Neutral Switch Actuator = From FTE sponsor DIRECT FORD PARTS: Ford suggested retail price: $18.72 / FTE member net: $13.23.

The switch is also still available from Ford, but the website is down so I can't post the list & net prices. .

1978 is the FIRST year the F100/350's have the neutral switch mounted on the transmission. __________________

The neutral switch is installed on the steering column near the firewall, with 5/8" bolts into the steering column (visible hole) and down column from a rectangular opening in the column housing. The actuating lever for the switch is attached to the gear shift shaft inside the housing; the lever is visibly protruding from the opening in this image.

Passenger seat jammed won't move backward

Should be a coat-hanger type hard steel wire running from lever to move seat to move 2 levers, one on each side of seat and this allows it to travel on a toothed track.  Could just be dirt and stuff lodged in this track.  Move these levers out and seat will move but both levers have to be moved to move seat - if spring is off on one side will only move on one side.  Just reach under with light and manually move these levers and push on seat.

Model T clutch adjustment

Check to see that when you pull the lever back, that the parking brakes aren't grabbing. Approximately straight up, and down with the lever, is the neutral position, then pulling it back slightly towards the seat will set the parking brake.

Also, push the low pedal in very slowly, until you feel when you hit the low speed cam. You'll feel it. There will suddenly be more resistance at this point. That's where neutral is. The pedal should move down about 1 and 1/2 inches. The manual states halfway, this may be incorrect.

Jack up the car, (Use chock blocks under the tires, and work on a hard, level flat surface), check that the parking brakes are not setting when the lever is in the neutral position.

And yes, your deduction is correct about when the clutch oil is cold. The clutch used is a 'Wet Clutch'.
