What brand coil ? Is it a coil on plug type ? You should use ford OE coils !

Testimonial: "it is a coil that looks like a distributer cap,not the kind on each wire.looked into coils no high voltage coils for that model van.and I think the coil in it at the time is Ford OE."

They call these coil packs , because there are three coils in pack , One coil per two cylinders .So is the vehicle running ? Have you changed the spark plugs ? Worn spark plugs can kill a coil ! The spark plug gap gets wider and needs more voltage to jump the gap. Causes the coil to over heat and short out.

We are trying to replace the ignition coil on my 1997 Ford Econoline E 150 V8 van. We have looked through the manual, but are still unable to figure out exactly where there are. None of the pictures give...

follow the sparkplug wires..One end goes to the plugs..The other end goes to the coil...If you dont have sparkplug wires then you have coil-over coils..Thats where the coil sits right over the spark plug...

I have an 88 bronco 351w and im only getting have the voltage to my coil 6v. i recently replace the ignition control modual 2 weeks ago any ideas???

Ignition control module? There is a IDM , this module, trouble shoot this one instead. PCM uses IDM with the spout to verify coil signal from the TFI module. So basically you will need to inspect the TFI or replace and also check under the steering column there is the ignition switch (electrical switch), if that fails then you will get 6 volts to coil

2003 ford f 150 4.6 v8 and the idle went from smooth to rough also sputters and sluggish while driving check engine light is flashing.

have the vehicle scanned for error codes at autozone, its free. Post codes for more help....These engines have issues with the COPs (ignition coils-over-plugs) failing prior to 80k miles. When they fail typical problems are: Sputtering under load/acceleration, rough idle, random misfires, random stalling, light or heavy jerking under load (usually at 15-35mph and 45-65mph)..hopefully this helps!!

How reliable is the Ford Focus?

Reliability of a car is all bases on experiences of owners with their respectible vehicles. In my opinion they are good car to drive for 50,000 miles, after that period they start giving you trouble. It is costly to repair it and the vehicle depreciation value is very high. Good luck
