I fix a lot of clusters. Most of the time it is just a bad connection at the plug. Since you 3 unrelated things, I would guess at this is your problem. Moist bezels around the dash just pop off. You'll have to remove the kick panel under the steering wheel fist, it has screws on the bottom. Just look at the bezels and see if you find any screws
i see answers to other questions here except the question asked about no heat in a 325 xi 2001 blower works great fluid is full no leaks, fuses are fine, get a lil heat while at a stand still but as soon as you drive cold air only temp on max 91, engine temp right in the middle takes about 8 mins for temp gauge to reach the middle can anyone help with this..PLEASE !!!!!!
I don't think the 2 have been synchronized, i.e. the thermostat and the temp gauge as if they for different manufacturers products. As a result your fan is always running no matter what the engine temp is, so I guess the thermostat is either faulty or it has not been installed properly.....sodeep
I have the same car I had the same problem. If you have the correct battery for your car with the same problem you have a short or positive ground in your dash/electric fuel pump/fuse box also be carefull of how you take the key from the ignition and if they're old replace them.
This solution may be too late but will help others with same problem. The E30 series have 2 rechargeable batteries on the (Service Indicator) SI board WHEN FITTED. located within the dash unit ( tacho/speedo/temp/fuel Unit) they have a life span of 6 years however mine lasted 17years not bad for a rechargeable batt anyway back to the point the effects of a buggered batts are
Inconsistent taco and temp guages
background radio noise (old model radios)
and THE INABILITY TO TURN SERVICE LIGHTS OFF !
The batts can be found in CONRAD (germany) MAPLIN (uk) the cos of the batts are approx £3 the new board costs direct from BMW with trade discount approx £200 in 2007 have fun (soldering required to replace batts) :-]
