SOURCE: need the cylinder head torque settings on a toyota

Tighten in several passes to 44 foot pounds.

I just wanted to add. Since this is an aluminum cylinder head, I hope you loosened the head in the loosening torque pattern. The pattern opposite of the torque tightening pattern. If not, you stand the chance of warping the head.

Again, since it's an aluminum head, it needs to be checked for flatness. Most aluminum heads need to be surfaced before re-installing.

Tightening torque pattern is as follows:

1.The Drivers side of the engine is the Left side.
From the Front going towards the back; the bolts are numbered 10, 6, 1, 3, and 7.
From the Front going towards the back on the Passenger side; the bolts are numbered 8, 4, 2, 5, and 9.

The Exhaust and Intake Camshaft Bearing Cap bolts go to 9 foot pounds. Tighten gradually. One bolt to the other with so many foot pounds, work back, and forth up to 9lbs.

Camshaft Timing Pulley bolts go to 43 foot pounds. (In a tightening sequence, and gradually)

I have a Toyoto RUNX 14 and after replacing the head gasket there seems to be slush that has built up in the pipes & radiators . Flushed the radiator twice and flushed pipes 5 times but still no joy

Might want to recheck your head gasket is seated properly and that all cylinder head bolts are torqued properly. Sounds like you have oil mixing in with your coolant.

read the TSB on this engine and recalls>? for head gasket ?
best is not to guess. do it right. an use the sequence chart.

most HG fail soon after for not doing the 3 tests.
warp head, warp deck, and surface conditions.
see alldata.com
better the FSM and all TSB on head.
here is one on site spec. for both motors.
2AZ-FE/D and/or 2AZ-FE/E Step 1: 52 ft. lbs. Step 2: plus 90 degrees my wild guess INSTALL and not removal? unsaid.
front is left here, cam cog side left
INSTALL SEQUENCE.

F 8,6,1,2,9
F10,4,2,5,7

F= front or #1 cylinder end.

take down is different order. (its aluminum, nothing trivial)

Is the intake manifold for the 160i and 140i runx the same

look at the parts page at the dealer web page.
see them the same, they are.
or call toyota parts and ask.
find a real toyota parts list, with real p/n
some sites hide it ,(jerks)
they hid it so you can go price shopping, i dont give em business.

What is the problem? If you have all the bolts out and it wont come off, smack it with a rubber mallet.
