If the security light is flashing then you will need to do a key relearn. If the light is not flashing then try replacing the starter relay it is located in the underhood fuse block, relay # 47

SOURCE: no power to starter 2004 chevy tahoe

Hi
It could be your neutral safety switch. It could be the starter relay which is located in the fuse panel box. It could be the smaller wire going to the starter could be loose or corroded.

SOURCE: My chevy Trailblazer is stuck RUNNING,My ignition wont turn off?

Try to move the steering wheel back and forth. If that don,t work try to disconnect the neg - side of the battery. this will at least kill the engine.

A damaged ignition switch the device that goes on the steering column with a connector what symptoms does it present? Trailblazer 4.2L 2006 Can it cause the engine to stall? What other symptoms?

If the ignition switch fails while in the "on" position, the vehicle may start but then immediately stall. This could be due to a momentary power supply issue to the fuel pump and ignition system during cranking. It is the properly working ignition switch that sends the power to the starter and onward.

You can bypass the passlock system but its not easy and not for someone that is not good with their hands. Look up bypass GM passlock to see if you think you can handle that.

Chevy trailblazer 2005 LS does not have the

No, just one relay. You only get porew to the relay from the ignition when you try to start it. The ECM grounds the relay to let power go to the starter. Do a rest for the security. Ten minutes on, thirty seconds off. This should turn the security light off. There is also a relearn procedure. It is three times the reset. Don't try to start it until after you turn it off the third time.

2005 chevy trailblazer - no cruise control and brake lights only work when key is turned off

I would check the turn signal switch. The cruise and turn signal are on the same switch. The brake lights go through the switch before going to the brake lights. And the turn signals don't work with the ignition off.

2007 Chevy Trailblazer won't start

the ignition switch is a very common problem with these vehicles. when the problem is occuring check the pink wire coming off the ignition switch and see if there is power. the computer controls the starter on this vehicle and if there is insuficient voltage going to the ecu it will not power up.

Starter on 2004 chevy trailblazer

If you can't get the key out of the ignition, it's probably the ignition switch (where the key goes in) that is bad, not the starter. The starter is on the right side under the exhaust manifold behind the right front wheel. It's not easy to change on those unless you know what you're doing.

02 chevy trailblazer 4.2l car wont start installed new starter still wont crank or start test fuses all are good lights and horn operate but no start could it be the ignition switch not giving power to the...

You need to establish that you have 12v in the battery and that all connections are clean and secure. Lights horn etc do not give you voltage verification...your starter uses more amperage than anything else in the car. Once you are certain that everything is OK, check for 12v at the small wire on the starter with the key turned to start. If no volts, check the neutral safety switch or clutch switch Then check ignition switch for power in/out.
