SOURCE: my 2005 chevy cobalt factory radio is locked

There are only 2 things you can try to fix this yourself: turn off the engine and open the driver side door (to turn the radio off). Wait 5 minutes, start your car.
If that does not solve it, turn off your engine, disconnect the car battery, wait about 5 minutes. Reconnect the battery (negative pole first - black connector) and try your radio again.

If neither one of these two fix your problem, I am afraid only a GM service center or dealership can fix the problem. The Cobalt is notorious for all kinds of electrical issues.

Thanks for using the fixya forums!

SOURCE: need to find and replace oxygen sensor for 2003 chevy ventue

Need a 7/8 open end wrench or a o2 sensor socket. Located in exhaust pipe. The one closest to the engine is Bank 1 Sensor 1. The ones located downstream and known as "Sensor 2"

SOURCE: how do you change an oxygen sensor on 2006 chevy aveo

There is a special socket for O2 sensors which allow the wires to stick out and not get twisted up. It's not expensive and available at most auto parts stores. Disconnect the sensor from the wiring harness, with the plug and then use the socket to remove and replace the new sensor. Re-connect electrical plug.

Help....camshaft position sensor 2005 Cavalier to 2008 Cobalt

It isn't going to work! You need the ECM for the engine, and it is likely to open up a whole can of worms for the other existing sensors and modules that are trying to interact with the new ECM.

How many O2 sensors does a 2005 Chevy Cobalt base model 4 cylinder have

Oxygen sensors are identified by bank and sensor position. Sensor 1 is always pre catalytic converter, sensor two is always post catalytic converter. If an engine is a 4 or 6 cylinder engine the whole engine is considered bank 1, if an engine is a V6, V8, V10....., the engine bank containing cylinder number 1 (first cylinder in the firing order) is considered Bank 1, the other bank is considered Bank 2. Interpretation Oxygen sensor designation B2S1 refers to Bank 2 Sensor 1, it will be the sensor on the engine side of the catalytic converter in bank two. Check this link to determine the cylinder that contains cylinder number 1. http://www.wellsve.com/custom_searches/ds_firing.php Wells Search Parts Catalog

I have a 2005 chevy cobalt, and it has been driving fine until a couple of months ago. One day it just started shaking and my engine light started to flash on and off. I got it checked out and they said it...

It sounds like the catalytic converter might have come loose causing a loud exhaust leak. Did they repair the problem that caused the converter to plug up like a defective oxygen sensor or coil pack?

How do I change o2 sensor on 2005 cobalt

Hi, place the Cobalt in "Park" on a level surface. Allow the Chevy to sit for 10 minutes. This will allow components to cool enough to touch but still be warm, which is ideal for replacing the oxygen sensor. Open the hood of the Cobalt and identify the oxygen sensor. Look for a white, rubber, plug-type sensor on the passenger side of the exhaust manifold; this is the oxygen sensor. Use a socket wrench paired with an oxygen sensor socket to loosen the sensor. Turn the wrench counter-clockwise until the oxygen sensor is loose. Remove the sensor from the manifold by pulling it off. The sensor will come off without much force. Insert the replacement oxygen sensor onto the manifold. Secure the sensor by pushing it into place until the sensor clicks. Close the hood of the Cobalt.
Take care

2005 Chevy Cobalt lights turn off

automatic headlights are controlled by a photo sensor on the dash located in front of the Instrument cluster. to test the sensor try covering it and see if the headlights come on. faulty wiring in the circuit could also cause this problem. the headlights and the radio are wired together and the "auto" function will cause the radio to get brighter when its dark out, thus the combination of problems.

Why does reduce engine power light comes on chevy

That is a hard problem to pin point without knowing what codes the computer has stored. It can be any number or sensors or engine problems.

You can go to most auto parts stores and they will pull the codes for you for free.
