there are spring clips on the fittings that you can easily remove with a seal pick slide the old line out replace the clip and o-ring inside of fitting and push the new line in till it clicks

The 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer has the most common hook-end wiper arms. Purchase the replacement blades first and there will be additional instructions/illustrations on the replacement packages. Locate and press the tab or button where the wiper blade is inserted into the hook of the wiper arm and pull wiper blade out of hook. You may have to rotate and flex the blade to make enough clearance for the hook to pass through.

try to remove the positive battery cable then replace it

System uses vacuum to operate the doors. Defaults to defrost when vacuum fails. Vacuum line from engine intake manifold is probably off or perhaps leaking--may have been disturbed during the other repair work. look for small loose vacuum line in engine compartment.

I'm looking for this part too. The shifter arm in my Trailblazer has become disconnected from the transmission cable and I currently have it held on with wrap ties. Any luck finding this part and installing it?

No. not the switch. Check to see if you have power going into it. I don't have the wire diagram, but you can take a test light and check each line. At least one will light up with the key on. Certainly check your fuses.
