you need to remove the door panel as the bolts holding on the mirror are on the inside. roll down the window.,as the door panel has to come up and out. This is easier done with the window down especially for reinstallation of the door panel. Remove the power window switch assembly ,handle, screws,and the clips that hold on the door panel.you need a flat pry tool for the clips.they pop out of the holes in the door.once the panel is off,the plug for the mirror and the nuts are removed.the new mirror and seal is replaced and the door panel re attached.
you'll need to remove your door panel (screws are by the door handle,
arm rest, under door and side of door) and remove the cover adjacent to your mirror to remove the bolts to remove the mirror.
ok im sorry no picture, but i'll try making a word picture for u. first step, use a phillip head screw diver and remove the door cover, loose the screw for the pastic that cover the mirror, make sure u wine the window up, remove connector to the door lock, final step remove the to 10mm screws.
On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle,
arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the
panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want
to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to
get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel
and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and
disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can access the bolts that secure the mirror onto the door

Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Section 414-01 .
Remove the inside door handle bezel from the trim panel.
Remove the window switch assembly.
Disconnect the window switch and power door lock electrical connectors.
Remove the upper trim panel screw at the window switch opening.
Remove the lower trim panel screws.
CAUTION: To avoid damage to the door trim panel, do not pull directly outward for this step. Lift the door trim panel by pulling directly upward on the armrest to disengage the panel clips.
Disconnect the power mirror electrical connector.
Remove the trim panel.
Remove the weather shield.
Vehicles with power, heated or approach lamp equipped exterior mirrors
be very careful removing the mirror from the mirror head (there's a 90% chance it will break). Instead remove the mirror head from the vehicle. remove the door panel. you will see 3 nuts that hold the mirror head on the van. (may have to poke around to find them, behind some foam maybe). the electrical conection you are looking for is in the door follow the wires you'll find it. NOTE: most mirror heads are not ment to be taken apart and fixed but instead the whole mirror head replaced.
yes the door panel has to be removed all of the small clips and small nuts and bolts you may find some hidden behind little flap things that need to be removed with a screwdriver especially if you have pull handles to use to help shut the door with
need to know if it is 4 door or 2 door. very easy go to junk yard to find replacement you have to snap out the inside panel .ther is also a screw on the inside in the corner that will remove the plate to the mirror. junk yard person will show you.
