Sunroof does not work, When I replaced #34 30amp fuse in the underhood fuse block it sparked so I left it alone. I removed the fuse block to check the wires coming into #34. There is 1 red/wht stripe wire which is feeding the left hand spade(when viewed from above) In the row below there is a smaller red/white stripe wire feeding the row below the #34 socket. Can I bypass the fuse block by cutting the red/white stripe wire that feeds the spade of the fuse and adding an inline fuse and picking up power from the fuse block bus?

Have the vehicle diagnosed by a certified electrical technician. DO NOT START CUTTING WIRES just to try and "bypass" the fuse. This fuse may be feeding more than one component and you could cause bigger problem.

SOURCE: Both rear turn signal lights flash

I did 15a and electrical for over 30 for chevrolet and seen some pretty weird stuff. To me you still have a ground problem.your idea of checking the brake light switch is a good start.both rear lamps flashing to me means the hazards are shorting across the turn and brake light circuits, because hazards stop flashing when brakes are applied. The brakes light switches in the 90's were really weird because they also incorporated the abs system.Good luck, let me know what happens. Thanks

Would a relay cause the sunroof not to open?

Yes it could. A blown fuse could as well.

Locate the sunroof fuse and relay int he fuse box (either underhood fuse box or interior fuse box). Check the fuse to see if it is good. You can swap the sunroof relay with another identical relay from the fuse box, if the roof now works, you know that the relay is bad.

Where is the fuse for the electric window ?

Step one is to check the 30 amp window/sunroof fuse in the underhood fuse box.

Do the windows not work from any of the switches?
Does the dome lamp work?
Does the sunroof work if you have one?
Have you tried swapping the window relay with another one of the same part number? The relays should be labeled on the fuse box covers as to which ones thay are. The relay should be in the right side fuse block in the car.
