Coolant temp ga does not work. It is not the coolant senser. Also fans only come on when ac button is pushed.

Russell, This sound like you have air in the cooling system, have the system bled for air. Other areas to look at are Rad cap faulty, thermostat, collapsing hose, partially plugged Rad inside/outside, intake/head gasket leak, etc.
Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

How to troubleshoot air fuel mixture problem on 1989 lesabre

If your car has a MAF sensor, it is in the air intake hose between the intake and the air filter.
If the check engine light is on, you would need a scanner to read the computer data coming from the sensors to diagnose the problem.

How to start a car

What is the make of your car? On injectors, the ignition system is automatic. It is possible for the cold weather to affect the valves. If the car tries to start, then there is no air, let air goes into the intake. I have tried pulling the spark plugs from the engine and let the gasoline dry-up then put the spark plugs back and have gotten the car started this way. The other way is, locate a recirculating air vent after the air-filter and pull it to let the air into the intake.
