What causes 2004 grand prix AC to be not very cold only 60 degrees, the system is full and has good pressure on gauge, what elase may cause it to do this?

if it has climate control ,check that the heater is not partially on
clean the evaporator under the dash as there may be gunk in the fins
If the system is too efficient thre will be ice on the evaporator which will not allow the system to reach temperature.
check with an accredited ac specialist shop

I have a 2004 pontiac grand prix with white smoke coming from underneath the hood and tailpipe.

Sounds like you've got a coolant leak. Check the condition of your radiator cap (look for deteriorated rubber, etc). You'll probably also need to top your coolant system off as well. It would help you if you pop the hood before starting the car, start the car and then watch the engine compartment so you can identify where the white smoke is coming from so you'll know what needs repair. No need to be a master mechanic to open a hood and watch an engine for 10-15 minutes...
Also as a last resort if you're having overheating issues but need to drive in an emergency you can turn your heater on full-blast... the heater can act as a supplemental radiator (useful for when the engine fan fails), just turn it to max hot and max fan and roll the windows down as necessary. Turning off the AC and extra electrical accessories helps as well because it puts less strain on the engine accessories, which put additional strain on the motor as it tries to provide power to everything.

I have a 2004 Grand prix gt2. Today while i was driving smoke started coming out of the vents. i pulled over and my husband came and drove the car around the block. no more smoke, but now no air is coming...

The first place i would look at is the heater blower motor resistor these are known to over heat the wire connector that plug into them. And if your heater fan is only coming on with 1 speed or none at all then you will need to replace the resistor.Go to www.rockauto.com for the best price on these parts.

2004 GTP Grand Prix overheating in slow traffic cools down when on highway. What would cause this? Previously replaced was thermostat, water pump & both radiator hoses.

Are the cooling fans coming on during normal operation? If your ac works turn it on and see if it overheats with ac on.If it does not overheat the fans are not operating properly under normal operating conditions. The ac will force the fans on. What you can do to start is just let the car idle in park and see if fans will come on normally. The coolant temp should reach 200-210 before the fans will come on. Make sure the air is off at this time. If we can verify the fans are working or not working properly we can go to the next step. Let me know what you find out.

Have a 2004 pontiac grand prix ...heater motor got hot and burnt some of the wires that turn the fan on for the heater and ac to work...if you wiggle the connector it will work and off....what do i need to...

the amperes got to powerful to that circuit so the altenators voltage regulator was not operating correctly
you may replace the wires that are fried and also replace the altenator as well

I would suggest replacing the blower motor resistor. When this component fails the blower will only work on one spped or none. This is a very common issue with all automotive models
