Check for an impact switch they had one on cars these years,It cut fuel pump and ECM, see in your operating manuel where they put it, you had to push on the red button whith your finger to recet it

It is hiden in the body somewhere, could be your problem,we use to bang the fender to make it trip for a joke

1992 Fleetwood P30 motorhome I change the fuel pump it was working and then all of a sudden all my power to my dash lights went out I jumped solenoid and got power back to my dashboard now my fuel

You need an electrician. He will probably need a wiring diagram to figure out what circuit has the malfunction. Have you checked to make sure the fuel pump fuse has not blown?
By jumping the solenoid, do you mean you bypassed it? I don't even know what solenoid you are referring to.
The pump circuit, if like other GM vehicles of those years, probably has a fuel pump relay (under the hood) and a fuel pump fuse- probably a 15 amp blue fuse, could be under the hood or under the dash. If you check all fuses, then find the pump relay, now you can check there for power available to the relay. The pcm is what signals this relay on. Does your pcm have power? Does your check engine light come on when you turn the key to ON?

I changed my fuel pump and filter and the reset switch why im not getting fuel to the engine

Anti-theft system light on ? Security light ? What reset switch ? What make model an year vehicle ! All vehicles from 1996 on, the PCM/ECM - engine computer controls the fuel pump relay . If there isn't a crankshaft position sensor input to the PCM / ECM ,the PCM / ECM will not energize the fuel pump relay ! There are a few good videos on youtube on fuel pump electrical circuit testing . You need to test the circuit before replacing parts . Parts stores love guy's like you , your helping to make them rich !

I have a 2003 cadillac deville north star. My car wouldn't start,we were told it was fuel pump.we replaced fuel pump still wouldn't work.checked fuses and now no lights,no dashboard lights come on.

Is the battery fully charged? You may have a power supply issue to the ignition switch or possible ignition switch issue. If battery ok... try jiggling ignition switch slightly to see if dash light come on. Are the dash lights the only lights not working or is all electrical out? Was the vehicle given a boost by any chance?

Car will turn over but won't start. Through the

No noise from fuel pump when you turn over the car .First thing get voltage at fuel pump relay checked, is there 12 volt to the relay. If no, then problem is again the relay.--------- To reconfirm the problem, try other test, that is remove the relay and by pass the relay terminals with a jumper wire .Then with 12 volt external battery give power to fuel pump connector and see, if the fuel pump starts, then its clear that fuel pump relay is faulty.----------- Also other problem can be fuel pump inertia switch. If the inertia switch is faulty then also fuel pump will not start.-------- The fuel pump relay on a 1995 Ford Explorer is in the power distribution
box, in the engine compartment, driver's side near the firewall.----------
The fuel pump inertia switch is in the right front passenger area
it is below the dash but above the carpet in the right hand corner.--------
Its a push button type inertia switch.
--------
Fuel Pump Activation
When ignition switch is turned to START position, PCM operates fuel pump relay to provide fuel for starting engine. PCM senses engine speed and shuts off fuel pump by opening ground circuit to fuel pump relay when engine stops or engine speed drops to less than 120 RPM. When ignition switch is in ON position, EEC power relay is energized (contacts closed). Power is provided to fuel pump relay and timer in PCM. Fuel pump receives power through fuel pump relay contacts.
Inertia Fuel Shutoff (IFS) Switch
All models use an electrical interrupt switch in fuel system. During a collision or vehicle rollover, electrical contacts within inertia switch open, shutting off fuel supply to electric fuel pump. Fuel supply is interrupted even when engine is running.
A reset button is located on switch assembly. If electrical circuit trips, vehicle will not restart until switch is reset. Fuel system should be inspected before resetting switch.
IFS switch is located under instrument panel, near right side of transmission hump.
----------- If the fuel pump relay, the inertia switch and fuel pump all checked ok, and fuel pump is working with direct 12 volt source to fuel pump. Then problem relates to computer. The computer (power control module, PCM) is faulty and has to be replaced.--------- This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

No power to instrument cluster after key switch is turn on, engine turn over but no start.Change key switch still no power.

most likely its your ignition switch!! it will cause stalling, no electrical current to dash, no current to fuel pump. have a good day !! check all electrical wires first.

On some vehicles the electric fuel pump primes when the ignition is switched on to acc (i.e when all the dash lights come on etc) and on other vehicles the fuel pump doesnt start untill you turn the ignition over to the "start" position. Id check the fuel pump was acutally getting power and go from there

98 s10 the fuel pump doesnt come on chaned it still dont work changed the relay too

The fuel pump relay is activated by the ECM, Check the fuel pump fuse and both ECM fuse on the fuse panel on the side of the dash. The ignition energizes the ECM which energizes the Fuel Pump relay which powers the fuel pump. Check the power for the fuel pump at the frame rails by the fuel tank. It's common for that area to get corroded and the wires break easy when the fuel pump has been replaced. That short section of wire harness is only $12.00 if need to be changed. If you have a few friends, you can remove the box from the frame since it's only being held by 6 blots so you don't have to drop the gas tank. The other thing you can try to do is to run a hot wire to the pump wire harness after you disconnect it so you don't loop the electrical and see if the pump works. Good luck and keep me posted.
