SOURCE: 1987 mercury grand marquis, what type of power steering fluid.
Only use Power Steering Fluid! Transmission Fluid was OK back in the Day But, The 80's and up Cars have softer Seals in the System that will fail with Tranny Fluid.
SOURCE: power steering fluid leaks
if you take and pressure wash the motor capartment out at a car wash and then have a friend turn your steering wheel back and forth while you look ant the hoses you should see if the hoses have a small leak now never use your hand to check for a leak becuse the power steering systme is a hydralic system and if there is a pin hole and your hand is there the fluid can actually pierce the skin and rip off flesh but you should be able to see the leak just dont grab the hoses while the car is running.
hope this is usefull for you. and please rate my solutions
thank you

Power steering fluid is leaking from the left side of the Rack & Pinion. Is there a way to repair it without replacing the Rack & Pinion?
SOURCE: Horn won't honk from horn button on wheel. Horn
I replaced the horn relay which is located inside of fuse panel under the hood of car on the firewall, have someone push button to be able to hear a clicking sound coming out of the correct relay, then trade out relay of the same and see if horn works
