Code p 0106 refers to manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor/barometric pressure(BARO) sensor --range / performance problem=== causes ---intake / exhaust leak---wiring---MAP sensor ---BARO sensor
not shifting out of over drive could be a problem servo/ solenoid , dirty oil , wiring or VSS sensor
have that complaint properly diagnosed by a competent auto transmission specialist shop

p0106 is barometric sensor code and is caused by a faulty egr boost sensor, egr boost sensor solinoid, or faulty vaccume line to either devise and last a bad pcm. check vaccume lines first then components, also there is a small filter on egr vac sol make sure its clean

Trouble code p0106

Code 106 is for a problem with the signal coming from the MAP sensor, not the EGR valve. The MAP sensor and circuits would need to be checked.

I had my 2000 Mazda MPV jump started after I left my lights on and killed the battery. The next day my radio and speedometer are not working and I have to manually shift my car to get it moving and it...

I think it may be an electrical issue but I think it's just a fuse. There are 2 fuses I would check. One of them is a 15 amp fuse inside the fuse panel inside the vehicle (see fuse layout below) and the other is a 40 amp fuse in the fuse panel under the hood of the vehicle in the engine compartment (see other picture below). I marked the fuses to check and hope this is the problem.

My fan on my 2003 mazda mpv starts running as soon as i turn on the ignition. could this cause erractic codes

the temperature cooling sensor, The sensor's output is monitored by the engine computer to regulate various ignition, fuel and emission control functions, and to turn the radiator-cooling fan on and off as needed. check this first ! also check the fan relay in relay box. it may be sticking in the on position. hard to say without being there. but try the above things. good-day ! the fans come on if a/c is on.

I get code p0106 on my mazda mpv 2000 can anyone tell me what I can do ????

p0106 means:
manifold absolute/barometric pressure out of range

which is something in the EGR circut. Could be as simple as a vacuum line or a clogged hose or valve.
