The problem was there & will come back

So check for codes Generic & Enhanced

Have a shop road test with scanner & look at all data
Go along for the ride

If you just got gas it may be the cap was loose at the
time the evap monitor ran,but there will be a trail most likely
in the PCM (computer) codes & such

A 2004 vehicle most likely has lots of preventative maintenance
that needs to be done, while doing that something will show up on
a scanner, only if you tell a shop what you want done.

SOURCE: 2004 f150 no tail lights ,left turn signal ,no

Check & clean connector underneath at rear, usually just forward of front bumper, up near frame, drivers side. Does this have a trailer towing plug on it by chance?

SOURCE: The emissions light blinking..2004 Ford Escape

There is a great number of things that can cause this **** as an oxygen sensor. or charcole canister, gas cap,or even your catalatic converter you will have to have the car hooked up to a diagnostic computer to find the problem for sure.

SOURCE: Check engine indicator light came on

The check engine light comes on when unusual servicing will be required. It could mean any number of things that if left unattended to could severely damage the engine. If you have an auto parts store or dealer that can run a diagnostic I would have it done soon. Some of the auto parts store will perform the diagostic at no cost.

Sounds like the horn button on the steering wheel has gone to ground. Look at the harness running up the steering column to see if any wires look pinched or cut.

While driving my 2004 Kia Sorento the engine emissions light came on I pulled over and turned the car off tried to start again it turned over but wouldn't start after a few mins itried it again an

When the service engine soon light (Also called the check engine light or engine management light) is turned on this is to alert you to the fact that Powertrain Control Module (computer) has detected a failure somewhere in the systems it controls you may not feel any difference in the way the engine runs, this can be the transmission or the engine or emission system, there are fault codes set in the modules memory for these faults. What needs to happen now is to have the powertrain control module scanned with a special tool called an OBD2 electronic engine control scanner or a OBD2 code reader. Once the code(s) are read then you must perform the diagnostics for each code and make the appropriate repairs based on the findings of the diagnosis that was performed, this is called doing "Pinpoint" testing.

I have a 2004 Ford F150 STX my taillights, brake lights, and both rear turn signals which fuse and relay controls these items.

you can pull negative battery cable and put test light on negative battery post, when lights up pull a fuse from fuse panel and if light goes out then thats where the short is, if light stays on then go to the next fuse

For the first time I pulled a utility trailer with my f150...now for some reason I hear a strange buzzing sound under the dashboard and my battery is completely dead?? The truck will start once I jumped...

Do you have the tow package on your vehicle? If you do it sounds like your trailer electric brake controller is shorted out (normally mounted under the dash on drivers side). There should be a fuse that controls your tow package either in the fuse panel or as an in-line fuse.

If that isn't it, then I would suggest a clamp on amp meter to help you narrow down what is draining your battery. BUT have you had your battery tested to make sure it is good?

A beeping noise came on and the air bag light does not come on

If you are hearing a series of 5 beeps, 5 beeps and then a pause and it repeats, the airbag light is burnt out, and there is an error that the LFC ( light Flash Code ) needs to report.

Pull the cluster, and replace the airbag light, and then pay attention to the LFC that will be given ( example, 1 flash short pause, 8 flashes, slightly longer pause, then repeat the 1-8 pattern again, jsut as an example ).

2004 f150 battery light came on the other day. Then all gauges went kinda crazy. Then everything shut down, but was still driveable. Bought new battery but still having problem. Now truck won't even start.

Gauges going crazy like that is caused mostly by a bad battery. Try jump starting... If your truck still won't start even with a jump then there still might be a battery connection problem. Check to make sure cables are clean and tight at both ends...not just on the battery. Also that cables are in good condition. Let me know how you make out and I can assist you further.

Truck having trouble starting.

With the engine running remove the positive battery cable, if the engine continues to run the alternator is good and the battery is probably bad. If the engine dies then the opposite is true.
