1988 325is im not getting any fuel the fuel pump is good i direct power tested and it pumps im not getting power to the fuel pump from the car tho when i turn the ignition switch on, relay good, fuse good. what could the issue you be, the CPS look like it could be the issue but could that cause no power to the fuel pump???
Check the pressure sensor in the fuel manifold as it directs power to the CPU to turn on the fuel pump
Testimonial: "where would that be located, I am a mechanic but not to foreign cars."
it will be in the fuel manifold or the fuel line
Is this more of a replace to find out or is there a way to clean it of some sort?

SOURCE: bmw 540i fuel pump
You must check to see if you have power at the fuel pump relay which is probable in a fuse box under the hood.
SOURCE: need location of fuel pump relay
You are going to have to remove the fuel pump and disconnect the wire harness. Check for voltage at the plug. Not sure of the excact location.
SOURCE: 1993 bmw 525i. I changed the fuel pump relay,
hello vchinto, when you reinstalled the fuel pump, did you make sure the lines were reinstalled correctly. the lines may or may not have the to and from arrows on them and can accidentally be installed backwards. if the fuel hoses are correct, check for 12 volts across the blue/green wire and the brown wire at the fuel pump connector. with the engine cranking it should be appr. battery voltage.

PROBLEM COULD BE IN THE MOTRONIC CONTROL UNIT.WHEN IT MALFUNCTION IT HAS TO BE REPLACED.
