Check the pressure sensor in the fuel manifold as it directs power to the CPU to turn on the fuel pump

Testimonial: "where would that be located, I am a mechanic but not to foreign cars."

Is this more of a replace to find out or is there a way to clean it of some sort?

SOURCE: bmw 540i fuel pump

You must check to see if you have power at the fuel pump relay which is probable in a fuse box under the hood.

SOURCE: need location of fuel pump relay

You are going to have to remove the fuel pump and disconnect the wire harness. Check for voltage at the plug. Not sure of the excact location.

SOURCE: 1993 bmw 525i. I changed the fuel pump relay,

hello vchinto, when you reinstalled the fuel pump, did you make sure the lines were reinstalled correctly. the lines may or may not have the to and from arrows on them and can accidentally be installed backwards. if the fuel hoses are correct, check for 12 volts across the blue/green wire and the brown wire at the fuel pump connector. with the engine cranking it should be appr. battery voltage.

1992 gmc Kodiak with a 366 fuel pump is getting power but will not run pump is new and tested good injectors will not spray and also tested good and both will run with direct power. Changed ICM pick up...

I would start by making sure all my ground wires are tight. If you test the hot lead to the pump and it is getting power that is just about all the is left. You might also take a wire from the negative side of the battery and ground it to the pump and see if it runs. If so you will know you are on the right track. Hope this helps.

Im not getting fuel up from toan put new realeys in and pump and still not working and hooked it up direct and wont start

When you say you hooked it up direct, do you mean you by-passed the relay? Have you actually tested the pump itself? My son owned two of these trucks, and on both the wiring to the fuel pump rusted off at the connection to the pump inside the tank.

1987 GMC sierra , no fuel pump power.

The inline fuel pump fuse on the passenger side firewall is good? Are you jumping it with 12 volts at the test lead or the fuse?

NO POWER TO FUEL PUMP, RELAY WORKS FUSE GOOD

If you have put direct power to the fuel pump and it still wont work, then get an electrical test unit, test light, and ohmmeter, and check to see if there is a break in any of the wires, and that you have got a good ground connection from the ground feed.
After confirming you have good connections, then it will be obvious that the fuel pump needs replacing.
