I am going to need a make, model and year. Also what country, state, province you live in... it makes a big difference. Timing belts are supposed to be replaced on a strict schedule and hence would never be covered under any recall or warranty anyways but i can check.
There are 2 recalls that have been issued on your model and year vehicle, none related to the alternator. Go to this site and review the recalled parts and make sure your vehicle has been repaired and is safe. Good luck!
For the 2000 model year there were several TSB ( technical service bulletins) issued concerning brakes on your vehicle. There were no recalls concerning brakes or brake failures however.
You can check the following web site and search information on the tundra recalls and TSB's for more detail. www.edmunds.com
