Check the brake light switch under the dash above the brake pedal. It might have moved out of adjustment or is defective. Replace or adjust it. Not major dangerous but annoying to others someone not watching could hit you from behind when you stop.

SOURCE: even when driving the car the break light stays on

hello sir, its not a big problem at all, just a simple wire/switch breakdown.
u can fix it urself.
there will be a tag like leaver wire connected to the break leaver,

whenever this switch/connection is broken the light glows, that is when the break is applied the connection will b brooken hence light glows.

now ur case, this connection is broken, if u can re-tag it to its place then u can slove it urself..

!! just have a look u can easily understand the setup urself, no need for any explaination.

thank u sir, if u feel the solution is worth, then plz vote/rate me.

thank u !!

My 1995 Toyota tercel brake lights stay on even when the car is off

There is a switch/sensor located at you break pedal, when you hit the breaks this has a small pin that make positive contact telling your break lights to come on. It may be broken or stuck, check it.

Also check all the bulbs on your car, breaks and blinkers etc...

How do I take off thebrakes pressuer switch

Hi Tom:
If you open the hood (bonnet) and look at the brake master cylinder there should be an electrical connection. The thing on the cylinder that the wires connect to will be the switch.
I'd try unpluging it and then use a continuity meter to try to check the switch function.
DEFINITELY replace the switch if it is not functioning correctly.
It would be DANGEROUS to simply dis-connect it and then drive without brake lights.

How do i replace a 1993 toyota corolla front axle

if your talking about the drive (shaft ) axle
your gonna need a jack, some stands , wrenches pliers an impact wrench and a special socket to remove the axle nut.
you basically remove the tire , brake caliper and pads, and swing them out of the way, then loosen the axle shaft nut, pop it with the hammer to break it loose, then take the lower control arm parts and sway bar parts loose and out of the way so you can pull the axle shaft out of the transmission , move anything out of the way that makes it hard for you to get what you need done. BE CAREFUL WHEN doing this because the shock assembly is under pressure and can Jump loose and smash your hand or even kill you. but it can be done .

No there is a brake switch to turn on the brake lights when you step on the brake pedal. It is located near the rake pedal under the dash. It has more then likely failed.
