I have an 06 Odyssey. For the last few days it hasn't had any air or heat blow out of vents. Took it to a shop today and they said the blower was working. Then when I got the car back it was blowing for a few seconds. It stopped working. My daughter opened the passenger door and it started working again. Now It won't work again.
There is a resistor that goes out on the odyssey and pilots for the blower motor. Does it blow on full speed? Is it both front and back that don't work?

Testimonial: "It does not blow on any speed at all. I turn the back blower on and I hear it blowing but there is no air coming out of those vents either. I climbed in the back to listen and I hear the blower in the trunk area. Weird. Thank you for the link. Any more thoughts?"

Ok, if the blower motor is actually going, (you hear the fan motor) then its probably what they call a "blend door". It's stuck in some position. Try googling that.

Hi there. When a compressor is replaced, two things are in fact being replaced - both the compressor and the refrigerant (Freon) and if the problem is resolved as a result which of those two replaced elements caused the original problem? Well you will never know and so before the compressor is replaced you need to have you’re A/C system recharged – it’s by far the most cost effective initial thing to do. In general A/C systems loose at least 10% of their effectiveness each year through loss of refrigerant and so given the age of your car; it’s the first thing to focus on. A professional A/C centre will also be able to tell you whether your compressor is working properly after having a refrigerant recharge by the monitoring the operating pressures in the A/C system.

Have you tried smacking the blower motor? If it starts running after you hit it, replace it.

I have had this problem. I am not a mechanic...so to correct the issue temporarily, I simply turn off the car and restart. This has worked everytime for me. In extreme cases, I think you can also remove the AC fuse and start the car, which will also reset the computer. I also think that by taking the climate control off the "AUTO" setting has worked in the past.

If you are absolutely confident the AC compressor is not kicking out on low pressure then it is the blend door actuator.
The blend door determines how much air blows through the heater core or evaporator.
The actuator can be purchased at dealer and maybe at a local part store.

I don't know anything about cars. I am trying yo find something I can possibly do to avoid paying the dealer oodles of money. There is no air blowing at all in the front. The back sounds like it's working but there is no air coming out.
Cling, your idea sounds good but I dk where the blower motor is!
That's Clint. Don't like this spellcheck.
