1999 Jeep Cherokee Classic - car stalls intermittenly. Just had the CPS changed, could it be as simple as the battery cable?

Sounds like a bad ground. When it wont start run a jumper cable from the negative side of the battery to a good ground on the motor and try the body also. Rule that out first.

1997 jeep cherokee sport

You have a possible issue with the voltage regualtor inside of your alternator.
You can drive to Autozone & have them test for under voltage & overvoltage condition, appears to be a voltage regulator failing.

Let me know how it turns out for ya!
Good luck to ya....

I have 2003 lexus es 300 drove all day came home was putting the car in the garage turn car off open garage door, when went back to the car turned key! car won't start no click sound just turns nothing...

I interpret your Q, to mean the Starter turns, but the Bendix drive does not engage, to crank the engine?

If so, check that the starter Solenoid Energizing connection, on the Starter Motor has not detached , or broken, or has become chafed on the body/engine, and is grounding out.

A simple test....Get a length of 14 gauge wire. Make a direct contact between the Starter Motor, Supply Terminal, and the Solenoid Energizer terminal.
If this Action does not rotate the engine, then you can be 99% sure the Starter Unit is junk.
If I am barking up the wrong tree, post me back.

Ok, 2003 GMC Safari AWD 245,000 km. Drove 100km

sounds like an ignition switch glitch or ignition harness problem can be either depending on the amount of wear and tear with turning on and off of the ignition tumbler or possible chafing or inconsistent short in harness to ignition switch check the ground line up through harness first and check the wiring harness condition

Guages when crazy. Now won't even try to start.

You likely have it repaired by now but it sounds like a classic case of oxidized battery or cable connection (sometimes mis-diagnosed as bad battery but cured with new (clean) battery)

1996 Subaru Legacy No Power At All

Last night I checked the battery and it was still good. I disconnected and then reconn ected both terminals and that brought the power back. When I turned the key the power went out again. I repeated the procedure but did not turn the key. Instead, I took off the knee bolster and tried to wiggle the wires under the dash to see if I could find the source since it seems to be related to the ignition. Nothing cut the power so I started it up and it worked fine except for the check engine light which was flashing that says I have a misfire condition. I drove the car 25 miles to work this morning and will be taking it to the dealer for a better inspection.
