Can i0w 40 oil oppose to 5w 20 that is recommended in a 2007 dodge ram 1500 with hemi?

is the royal purple oil the same viscosity as recommended,also sounds like a oil pump goin bad does your oil light come on

There is no standard interval for the CE/MIL light. You need to get the codes scanned at a local AP store to see what codes you have.

5/30 or 10/30 is your best bet. 5 is for a colder climate and 10 is for all others, this is for cold starts.

30 is for hot temps. The only other option would be 10/40 but i would not recommend 40 if the manufacture doesn't

Diesels are the only trucks that use 10/40

Sometimes a valve lifter will stick and cause a ticking it is possible that a valve lifter has lost its prime or it might be that the oil is too thin. Wthout more info my bet would be a lifter
