Need to know how to hook up wires in the starter of a 2002 Sebring 6 cylinder

possible loose battery cable at the starter or its corroded and needs to be replaced also check the ignition wire while there at the stater its the smaller wire hooked to the small terminal on the starter

The starter is located on the front of the engine, right above the front motor mount and between the catalytic converter and the engine block.

Should have four, one in front and one after each catalytic converter.

Front cylinders from left to right 1-3-5
Back cylinders from left to right 2-4-6

Firing order in this vehicle is actually 1-2-3-4-5-6

Mine is doing the same thing. We are getting ready to replace the starter. Hopefully that is the problem. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I'm pretty sure this is for the starter circuit. have seen a few pop and it always turned out to be the starter. I think chrysler has a TSB on this problem

I own a 2002 sebring 2.7 liters engine and i can tell you where they are. on each 2 top side of the engine you will see square blocks(3 on each side) with a couple of wires coming out , they`re held in place by two nuts, these are the high voltage coils, remove the coils and you`ll find the spark plug underneath. have fun

They have either left a wire to the starter unhooked or they have blown a fuse or fuselink
