Headlights stopped working.

They worked yesterday, then would not come on. Running lights work just fine and the high beams come on when I pull high beam lever but wont stay on. Any ideals ? Oh, I did check all fuse in fuse box.

They all worked yesterday and new.
test the fuses, not just look.
there are 2 fuse boxes
and there are HL relays, that can fail.
last choice is the COMBO $WITCH.

SOURCE: low beams do not work, but all the running lights

First, check the lights themselves. Often one goes out and is not noticed...then the other one goes out and right away you think there is a larger problem. If lights are good, check high beam switch on top of steering column. Possible also that you have a lighting module GC"s got them earlier than "regular" cherokee...can't rember when they started using them. Also check under dash wiring...There may be a connector near the heater box in the lighting harness. for some reason they sometimes burn out.
Good luck, hope it's just the lights.

SOURCE: Jeep Headlights not working. High beam works

had the same problem on my 92....check under the hood on the drivers side, towards the front, there is a "junction box" with all of the lighting wires connecting from the switches to the lights. My wires were all corroded inside,so I cleaned the ends and bought a new box from the local electronic supply store. The problem has not come back.

It could be driving lights mode instead of low beam. Check connections.

98 ford lariat. Headlights stopped working. running lights come on and brake lights and turn signals. checked all fuses under dash and under hood, pulled out headlight switch and it looks fine. note only...

Is this both the high beams and low beams that do not work ?

If you checked all 3 fuses with a meter ( with the headlamp in Low position for both low beam fuses or in high for the high beam fuse ), the next items to test are the MFS ( MultiFunction Switch ) and the main headlamp switch ( test not look at it ).

Headlights out

You need to change the head light bulbs, they have two elements one for normal lighting and one for high beams, the low beam elements on those light bulbs are burnt, install new ones and you'll fine. Good Luck

My 87 k5 blazer headlights don't turn on when the car is started and running any more... all 4 headlights turn on fine when I pull the lever all the way out for high beams

The vehicle should not have to be running for head lights to burn.If high beams work, then the low beam head lights could be burned out, even though they light up with high beams. The dimmer switch, can be the problem if the head lights only work on high beam.
