I have a 2004 dodge neon automatic. We changed the battery today, due to it sitting over the winter the battery was dead and would not charge. When we got the car started we let it run for a little. Under the odometer it starting flashing fuse and beeping at us. The dome light and radio are not working. What fuse needs to be replaced. Also the car will not catch in any gear. We went to put it in drive to move the car and it once in drive the car would not move at, also wouldn't go in reverse. What could be the problem?
Check the main fuse. It's typically a 80 to 120 amp fuse. It's also typically the largest one in the fuse box. It won't look like a normal fuse and also may bolt into the fuse box. Disconnect the battery before checking anything in the fuse box. If the fuse is good reconnect the battery cables and make sure everything is tight .
