Triton v10 firing order

Regarding the 2000 6.8 Triton. Following this diagram I pulled out the plug in cylinder 3 since code says mis fire on #3, the motor I'm working on is from a 2000 f350 with 115k on it, when I pulled out the plug theres a thin piece of paper came out with the plug its about 3/4 x 3/4 inches long stamped on it says cyl #5, the unusual type of paper feels like it's composed of Mica and something else which mics' blocks arcing so I'm thinking this little mica paper is from factory and this cylinder is actually number 5 and not 3 as diagram indicates. Best to do some research before following this since plugs and coils a real pita in these. Please advise if anyone else has experience a problem with this or if maybe this isn't for the 6.8 thanks

I need a spark plug wiring diagram for a 4.6l Triton V8. 2001

Your shouldn't have any spark plug wires on your vehicle. There should be a coil on top of each spark plug. The firing order is 1 3 7 2 6 5 4 8 if that helps. I went back a year incase you had a late model 2000 but that 4.6 also has a coil on plug. If you do have spark plug wires, I don't think that's the original engine then.

Replaceing freeze plugs in the back of a side motor in a 2001 chevy malibu

1) Drain all coolant from the engine/radiator.
2) Drill a hole in the old plug to allow you to thread a lag bolt, which will then be used to pull the old plug out. Or use whatever means you can to remove the old freeze plug.
3) Thoroughly clean the hole with a wire brush attached to a drill motor.
4) Apply sealant to new freeze plug and locate into the hole.
5) Tamp the plug into the hole, flush with the block, with a hammer.
6) Refill radiator with coolant.
7) Check for leaks.

This isn't going to be easy with the engine in the car, but it can be done.

Ignition Distributor location

There is no cap and rotor, as the vehicles igntion system is DIS (digital ignition system). The recommended tune-up on these motors require sparkplug and coil replacement. The coil type in this vehicle is COPs (coil over plugs). Usually moist and oxidation develope on the sparkplug chamber walls from faulty or worn coil boots. This causes the coil to short, they must be replaced at 75,000 miles at the same time the sparkplugs are replaced. Typical symtoms are: Vehicle stalls (restarts and runs normal), intermitted jerks/sputter while driving, misfires, rough idle, severe power loss. Hopefully this helps

Where do i locate the spark plugs on my 03 triton 4.6l and how do i remove

spark plugs are located under ignition coils on top of engine. You will need a spark plug socket size 5/8 and socket extension to remove. Coils have a 2 wire black connecter and a 7mm bolt to remove.
