1996 sububan speakers not working

1996 suburban and the speakers stoped working everything thing else works but the speakers. I had to remove a blown speaker and it was unhooked for awhile and now it dont have any sound.

    its just the one speaker its all of them that stopped working

    none of the wires are touching each other. The cd player will play but i still get no sound at all. I still have the factory deck in it could it be the theftlock system came on? If so does any one know how to fix it?

Make sure the wire to the speaker are still connectied and see if the connection is broke you might have it hook up but if its broke its not making contact

    check the connection in the one you change then make sure you dont have two wire touching behind the deck that will shut them off what its doing is grounding out the positive side of the connection

Why arn't my rear speakers and rear radio controls not working in my 2001 Suburban LT
1st thing simple ck all fuses did the radio go out
ar the same time as control and speakers
ck fuse first then take out and send to have looked
at maybe control unit hock up deferent spekers to rear
to see if there not blown then send out.

My speedometre stoped working in my suburban 2001, everything else works fine
01 Suburban has an electronic speedo which works by way of a speed sending unit on the tail end of the driver's side of the transmission. Replace that speed sending unit if there is any transmission fluid coming out of the plug entrance (where the wires plug into the sensor). Could also be a speed sensor mounted on the top of the differential, but less likely. Do get it fixed because either one of these could cause shifting problems in the transmission... Ugly.

Radio comes on but no sound
hi firstly i suggest you remove the radio from the dash at the rear you will notice a block at the bottom of the radio these are your speaker wires remove this block its likely that the pa stage has blown but just check it with another radio if you can get one this will ilimanate the following .if the speakers work with another radio then the fault lies in the radio itself and more than likely the output has blown hope this helps you goodluck

More then likely you got a blown head gasket, remove spark plugs and crank engine, if water come out of spark plug holes, blown head gasket.Good luck

Rear door speakers don't work w/ aftermarket radio in 94 suburban
You need to attach the blue wire on the stereo harness to the blue and white wire on the car adapter harness. they installed a small amplifier to power the rear door speakers and unless you connect those two wires then the speakers will not work.
