I need to remove the upper panel on the drivers door to re-screw and attach the pull strap. Not sure if it's only the visible two screws holding it on.

Normally there are also other screws hidden behind chrome trims that you prise off with a plastic screwdriver. There are always plastic poppers all round the edges of the panel, use 2 screwdrivers slid in (one on each side of each popper) to lever the panel away from the door so that the popper comes out of the door.

SOURCE: driver door panel removal and re-connect door pull

You most likley have a damaged inside door handle. To remove the door panel, you must first remove the handle bezel. The trim piece around the handle. It is held in place by 4 retainer tabs, take a small flat screw driver, insert it between the bezel and handle. Gently pry away from the handle. If you look in the crack around the handle you will see the tabs. When you get that off, remove the switch assembly by prying up on it gently, unplug the wiring. There are 2 screws in the door panel where you pull the door shut, remove those also. Start at the bottom front of the door panel, pull outward firmly, but not violent. The retainers will come out, you will most likley break some, this is common. The inside handle is about $45 from your dealer. If it is the handle it is held in with 1 rivit, drill it out with a 3/16 drill. Replace the handle, reassemble. Good Luck.

Trying to remove rear door handle on chrysler lhs 99

Hello, to remove and replace the rear door try the following:

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery of your Chrysler LHS. You can accomplish this with an open end wrench, to prevent any injury or short in the electrical system as you are working on the door lock switch. Place the negative battery cable out of the way so it does not touch any metal parts.

2. Undo any screws that are holding the lower door panel to the door with a screwdriver. Unclip the plastic hold clips that are attached to the back of the panel by carefully pulling them away by hand.

3. Locate the electrical connector wires. These wires run behind the panel to the door arm rest and detach each wire connector by hand. Remember how the wires were attached so you can put them back the same way when it is time to reattach them.

4. Lower the door panel away from the door. Then, remove any screws holding the upper door panel in place. Remove the door handle pull cup that covers the door lock switch and door handle by carefully popping the cover off after you have removed the screws holding it in place.

5. Detach the upper door panel from the door. You can do this by pulling it away carefully from the plastic clips. Move the upper door panel out of the way and locate the door lock actuator switch. Remove the screws from the actuator switch that are holding it in place and disconnect the electrical wires attached to the back of the switch.

6. Replace the old door lock actuator switch with a new one. This replacement can occur by connecting the electrical wires to the back of the new switch and reattaching the switch to the door frame with screws. Put the upper door panel back in place, securing it to the door frame with plastic clips and screws.

7. Reattach the door handle pull cup to the upper door panel with screws. Then, put the lower door panel in place and reattach the electrical wires to the window switches underneath the armrest. Attach the lower door panel to the door frame with plastic clips and screws.

8. Attach the negative battery cable to the Chrysler LHS battery with the open end wrench.

Thanks

The sunroof is powered by the same circuit breaker that power's your power window, so if your windows work than the circuit breaker should be good. You needed test the switch to verify if works with; on the factory sunroof system the roof is controled by a sunroof module the module receives a signal from the switch then throws voltage to the sunroof motor. The motor and module are located between the sunroof assembly and windshield underneath the head liner. You would reconnected the switch and test to see if the sunroof motor is getting power when the switch is in use by testing the dark green wire when closing and a light green wire when opening. Test these wires at the sunroof motor with a ohm meter or test light. Also, check this procedure to repair...

How to remove door panel for driver and passenger side doors

Hi. This Guide will help you with this issue.

Step1 Check out how the door panels are attached to the car. Most panels use screws and bolts but others have snap-in fittings. Gather all the tools you need for removing the door panels. If the panel is attached with screws and bolts, you need a screwdriver or ratchet and socket. Car door panels with snap-in fittings are easily removed with a flathead screwdriver. Step2 Locate where the screws and bolts are before starting. These are usually found in the arm rest area, along the bottom or sometimes near the door lights. Step3 Roll down the car door window. Begin removing all screws and bolts that hold the door panel onto the car. If your car has snap-in fittings, pry gently on the bottom corner of the door panel until the fittings pop out. Step4 Remove the power window control panel if your car has power windows. The control panel should pry out easily, and then you unplug the wiring harness from the back and place it to the side. Step5 Use an L pick and flashlight when locating a manual window crank. Look behind the window crank and slide the pick under the edge of the metal clip that holds the crank in place. Remove the clip and pull the crank off. Step6 Remove the door handle by unscrewing the small screw located in the center. Gently pull the door handle out until you see the back of the handle and unclip the rod from the door handle. This should remove the handle unless the handle and door lockmag-glass_10x10.gif are attached, then you just unclip the rod from the lock and remove them both together. Step7 Unscrew the cap off rear upper corner door panel locks. These don't have a rod attaching them to the handle and unscrew separately from the door handle. Step8 Pop the door panel off after you've removed everything. Gently pry on the bottom edge of the door panel until it releases. Pull out and up to completely remove the door panel.

Driver side power window stopped working

The door panel is held on by plastic clips and 5 screws. 3 screws are on the bottom and 1 in the pull cup and 1 in the inner door handle. Then grab one of the corners and give a small tug, when you get some of the clips to pop out then proceed around the whole panel. To replace the panel take the clips out of the door with a fork and slide them back into the panel and then line it up on the door and use your hand like a hammer and bang the panel back on. Hope this helps
