Car just shut off in the middle of driving.

My 2000 Ford Expedition XLT just turned off in the middle of driving. I have gas and all fluids seem to be in place. What could cause the car to just shut off like that?

Service engine soon is on and the truck idles low when cranked.

Take the vehicle to an autoparts store and have them use a scan tool to retrieve the fault code(s) stored in the computer. Most stores offer this service at no charge. The codes will help identify the problem. Sounds like a faulty Idle Air Control (IAC) valve to me, but the codes will narrow the reason down. Hope this helped and best wishes.
