1999 Park Avenue water pump removal

I am trying to change the water pump and 1 bolt will not clear the idler pulley. I can't get the idler pulley off because it is blocked by the motor mount. I removed the studs, nuts, and bolts from the motor mount bracket but the motor mount will not slide out of the bracket because it hits below on the crank pulley. I lowered the motor with the jack but it won't go low enough for the studs to clear the bracket. I am stumped, have no clue. Any help?

How do you know which pulleys are which?

Hello. Trace the pulleys to the components they turn. That's it. Joe

How do I change the main serpentine belt on a supercharged 99 park avenue ultra?

On your idler pulley there is a 15mil bolt... put a wrench on this bolt (long wrench) and turn it like you are turning it tighter. The idler pulley will move forward releasing tension on your belt. Make sure you pull the belt off the alternator pulley when the idler pulley is compressed. You may want to pay attention to how the belt is on there, maybe 2 people would be a good idea too if you aren't familiar with your car.

1999 Buick Park Avenue water pump removal

that is not an idler pully that is the power steering pully if you feel through the holes in the pully you will feel the 13 mm head bolts that hold the pump to the block remove those bolts the pump will drop down and you can then remove the water pump also you have to remove the studs using the inverted torx end on the stud to unscrew it then the mount will come out
