Radio wiring colours for fiesta 2000

if you are looking to put a new stero in the best thing to do is go to radio shack or the parts house and spend 5 or 10 dollars and get a wiring adapter. You can wire the thing in your house all the colors are the same and then you just walk out to your car plug it in and go. It is worth the money it is pretty cheap anyway.

Radio wiring colours for mitsibushi colt 1993

The best solution is to not cut the factory wire harness, and use a wire kit you can get at Walmart. The kit plugs directly into your factory harness and has leads to meet up with an aftermarket radio. As an added bonus aftermarket radios all follow the same wire color schematic so you would wire white to the white, grey to the grey- very easy. However if you are looking at a dash full of cut wires the answer is a little more complicated but can be applied to any car in this situation.

If you are even somewhat familiar with a voltmeter you can trace very wire one by one exluding the power, ground, switched power ect, A good tip for finding speaker leads is to cheat and look at the speakers in your car the wires that are connected to them should be the same as the ones behind the dash. Problem solved. Here are some other ideas and keep in mind most of these solutions are offered as a method to solve this problem in any number of vehicles, Its like the difference between giving someone a fish or teaching him to fish. I did however give a solution that only requires a trip to your local car audio shop - if you just don't want to mess with it.

You can visit your local car stereo dealer and talk him into telling you, even if they don't know they will most likely be subscribed to a phone-in, dvd, and/or fax information service dedicated to providing wire color details and locations for 99% of vehicles out there. (I have used a similar service and found it very useful-especially for brand new cars that nobody knows anything about yet.)

Or you can visit the local junkyard find your harness and match it up with the Walmart one and get a working stereo and a repaired wiring problem. The Walmart harness is probably $10 & the junkyard one would probably be the same.

Or even still if your budget is non-existant you could still go to the junkyard and write down what wire goes to what pin, then travel over to Walmart and do the same in reverse writing down the coresponding pin to wire color. All for free!

And finally the wire colors on your after market deck should be as follows
White - front left positive speaker or for short FLP
White/black - FLN (front left negitive)
Grey - FRP
Grey/black - FRN
Violet - RRP (rear right positive)
Violet/black - RRN
Green - RLP (rear left positve)
Green/black - RLN
Yellow - Constant positive or to battery positive (either way use a non-switched positive so the radio will keep its memory)
Red - Switched positive lead or to ignition positive
Black - Chassis Ground
Blue or Blue/white - Some radio's are different - but one will be to control the power antenna, and will only turn on when the fm radio is used. The other will be the amplifier turn on lead.
Orange - dimmer input lead, used to dim the face of the deck when you turn your headlights

There are some variances and some radios may have more leads or less. But these are the basics.Good luck and please feel free to ask for more information.
