SOURCE: engine code 95 jeep grand cherokee lerado

12 is a battery disconnect within the last 50 start cycles and 55 means the end of the diagnostic cycle.  Basically the computer found nothing wrong. The 12 code may seem incorrect if you haven't disconnected the battery recently, but from my experience the 12 code shows up almost all the time regardless.

SOURCE: 1993 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LAREDO- TRUCK WONT

OK...I have a 93 outside...one diagram I have shows an ignition module next to coil...but there is none on mine, (4.0 engine)
Two items to check are crank sensor and cam sensor inside distributor. Test procedure can be found in just about any manual including haynes.
You will need a decent volt/ohm meter to do testing. You can also check codes by turning ignition switch on/off three times, leaving it on the third time. Check engine will flash code #'s (ex: one flash, pause two flashes= the number twelve.then followed by a longer pause then another set of flashes etc.)

SOURCE: 95 grand cherokee oil pressure switch

Use a deep well socket and extension, it lives by the distributor.

SOURCE: 2001 jeep grand cherokee wont reverse in

This could be an issue with the shift solenoid , but can also be caused by low fluid due to a leak, check your fluid. Is there a check engine light on, if there is it could be a solenoid issue.

SOURCE: My 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo won't start.

Check that your battery has 12v, check and clean terminal contacts. If battery has less than 12v have it charged and load tested. 9 of 10 times this will get you going...if not, I'll give you the rest of testing later if you need it.

My 95 jeep grand cherokee larado and reverse stoped working but it is goin in to reverse just not going barkward and its making a sound in the bellhousing

Obvious transmission issue. Bad reverse clutch unlikely, but it is probably fluid related. Auto transmissions are fluid actuated machines. IF the juice is not flowing , it will stop functioning. Aside from possible massive internal damage, it may just be a bad gasket. What have you observed under the vehicle?

I have 2001 jeep grand cherokee 6cyl need

On the top of the bellhousing. From the drivers point of view it is in the 11:00 o'clock position. The harness wraps around the back of the bellhousing and plugs in on the passenger side of the block near the oil sending unit.

Bellhousing, driveshaft, crossmember yes. BUT, are we talking overdrive auto or 5 speed manual? P.S. unless you've pulled a tranny before, take it to an expert.

How do i change the crankshaft position sensor on a 95 jeep grand cherokee

Test it first. Remove it and replace it.(two screws)..hardest part is getting your hand up to where it is...most are at the 11o'clock position looking from the rear, (on the drivers side), on the transmission bellhousing, even with the flywheel. Harness goes up near the master cylinder.

Power windows won t work

There are broken wires in the wiring harness between the frame and your driver's side door. These wires control all the windows and door locks in a 95 Jeep. Same thing happened to me. You will have to cut the rubber boot to get it off and check which wires are broken and repair them.
