SOURCE: 2002 ford explorer wont start even after new battery...

Before you go changing out the starter check for a burnt out fusible link going to the starter it will look like a wire but acts as a fuse and they burn in two just like a fuse. The symptoms you just describe are those of a burnt fusible link.

The security system (VATS/PassKey) is faulty. You can find a great write-up here: http://newrockies.ca , it was the only thing that saved my Park Avenue.

No start or no crank. no radio no radio ,power locks ,headlights or brakes light.

Have you checked the battery? Are you sure everything is connected/? If you can't get it to start because you have no juice but have a new battery, then that's a problem. Or something is draining the hell out of your battery. Check the fuses.

Turns over but won't start

I would start checking fuses for power. It could be a battery cable issue or something in the fuse box. The dash lights would not be powered thru the key switch, but the other stuff would be. Provided the key switch is getting power for accessories.

1994 Mazda Protege wouldn't start, battery seemed dead replaced battery with a new one and still no power

Does anything work? Lights, radio? Do the warning lights and gauges turn on when key is turned to on? That would verify power is getting to the ignition switch and is being sent out.
Pretty limited in what you can check without a voltmeter or test light. If you have power to the ignition switch, need to know if power is getting to the starter solenoid on the starter motor when the key is held in cranking position. If power there, likely a new starter is called for-have yours tested.

06 pontiac grand prix wont start no clicking when you turn the key over even jump starting the battery, has dash lights & radio & parking lights. battery tested good. put a used starter & altinator on

Used parts such as starters and altinators don't last. It might **** but it sounds like you need to buy a new starter, altinator, and battery. Or just start with buying one at a time.

My car will not turn over, the lights and radio comes on so I don't think its the battey. Saturn L-200

The connections on the battery can be the problem, clean them to where they shin, cable ends, and battery, but be sure to connect a aux battery supply to the aux socket in the car before removing the battery cables,or loss of memory to the radio, and the engines computer will occur.Check the neutral safety switch, and the ignition switch, you can not rule out the starter, they go out a lot,tap on the starter lightly with a hammer, while trying to start it,if it starts, replace the starter.

Ignition problem

Check the starter fuse. Could have popped, and would explain the trouble.

My 99 Windstar won't start. The battery and alternator are new. All connections are tight and clean. No corrosion. When the key is turned, the starter only makes a bump sound. Possibly like the solenoid is...

I think your right about the starter being bad.
When you turn the key, it will draw all the energy that it can from the battery. That's why your dash-lights go out.
When you take it in to be replaced, have them test out the old and the new starter.
I've gotten a defective starter before that was brand new.

Ignition starting

The starter isn't working correctly. The clock and radio are ment to turn off when turning to the start position.
