If It was a balance issue, why would the sound/vibration go away when accelerator is lifted?

That person replaced most of his front end first... then tried balancing

It doesn't seem to be coming from the front or back. The steering wheel does not vibrate and it goes away when I lift the throttle.

Could it be transmission or transfer case issues?

It could be the CV Joint. If the splash guard is't on good it can seize and give you a vibration

SOURCE: 2001 montero/ rumbling noise in front

There are a few things that this could be, and I see that you have replaced a few of the items that it could be but steering systems are a weird thing so here ya go:

  1. Excessive inner CV joint angle
  2. Sticking inboard joint assembly
  3. Lack of lube at the ball joints
  4. Loose upper strut mount
  5. Worn tie rods
  6. Loose stabilizer bar
  7. Loose suspension bolts
  8. And, believe it or not, a blister or bump on the tire
If you got a Chilton's or Haynes manual to do this job, it states in there how much grease should be packed into the bearings. Also, making sure of the length of your CV axle.

Post more info you would like, to pass on.

SOURCE: Saturn SL1, growling and vibration coming from right front wheel,

Might be a hub bearing. Those make a growling noise when they are bad. When it is on jack stands you should be able to put your hands on the top of the tire and the bottom of the tire and move it back and forth. and the same with putting your hands on the right and left side of the tire. if you can and it moves back and forth then the bearing is back. but becarefull not to get the movement confused with a bad ball joint or tire rod. which could also be your problem but they dont make a growling noise

SOURCE: Truck dies when I take my foot off the accelerator

More then likely, it is a fuel issue. You might need to change the fuel filter. It may be clogged. Make sure none of your fuel lines are pinched also. It could be a weak fuel pump. It could also be a leaking fuel injector.

SOURCE: I have an 02 Mitsubishi

i just had the same noice it started the same way. I would hear then it would go away. Its is my girlfriends car, so i figured when it got worse i could pin point it and fix it. Will that's what happened. It got so bad i had to drive it home that day. i could not figure out where it was coming from i knew it was the front i could not tell if it was the differential or a axle CV joint. So I jacked the whole car up off the ground carfully and had someone in drive seat place it in gear no noise. Then i had them place it in 4 wheel drive and there was the noice. It turned out to be the wheel bearing hub assy.
Spent 100 bucks for new hub fix problem, napa had. Autozone sells a Timken which is the top of the line MADE IN THE USA. But since i was trade this in soon got the china one.

Vibration on 2004 Cadillac Deville

If a hub bearing was bad, it almost always would make noise, more so when changing lanes at higher speed. Outer CV joints make a loud low pitched rattle when turning (corners). Inner CV joints raise hell at high speed- bad shake! Sway links affect cornering and clunk when hitting rough patches of road surface.
Is the vibration worse at 65 than at 50? If so, you are dealing with a wheel balance situation. Find an old time front end shop that will check the balance on the vehicle. You will have to turn off the traction control to do this or use an on-the-car wheel balancer.
If you feel it at some low speeds at it comes back at other higher speeds, then you are dealing with tire roundness. Possible more than 1. More common than we would like.

1997 expedition after i go over 40 miles engine is growling shifting but a littlle sluggish

I have had similar complaints that turned out to be the Idle Air Control (IAC) solenoid. The solenoid can get a little weak and air coming in through the intake at certain speeds can cause it to start vibrating. It sets off a moaning sound that resonates through the intake ducts and can get VERY loud. Sometimes it almost sounds like a fog horn.

If this is the type of noise you are hearing, replacing the IAC will fix it.

Other than that, the only suggestion I have is to see if you can get it to make the noise while the vehicle is sitting still. Slowly accelerate the engine speed with the vehicle stopped and the transmission PARK to see if it will make the noise. If the vehicle has to be moving to make the noise, then that eliminates several possibilities like the IAC, fan clutch, pullies, etc.....things that operate the same whether the vehicle is moving or sitting still.

1990 Cadillac deville was running fine today, then after a long drive uphill it began to vibrate/shudder when accelerating from stop or low speed if gas applied strongly. No problem at high speed, just...

I would check the fuel pressure, sounds like a fuel delivery problem...possible dirty fuel filter. The vibration is probably due to a missfire. Have you had had a tune up lately? Check for vacuum leaks. I hope this helps.
