If i remember correctly a 97 blazer has fuel injection and not a carb , hence the reason it starts and revs up when you dump gas in the intake plenum ,this by the way is very dangerious to do could cause a backfire and set the engine on fire, now onto your problem you will have to locate the hi pressure fuel rail this is gonna look like a square piece of pipe with a tire valve sticking out of it some where on the top of engine ,this is the fuel pressure test point you need to cycle the ing key several times then using a key end or ink pen (not a pencil) deflecting the tire valve looking thing (shrader valve) away from your face and eyes with something solid depress the center of the valve there should be a spray of fuel at this valve if and i suspect not you have a fuel pump problem it is located inside the fuel tank and sorry to say is a common problem for this type and model gm sells a lot of them as replacement parts each year remember when working on a fuel tank remember thats gasoline in there and sparks from wires and tools can make it explode disconnect battery first and drain the fuel tank first and still treat it carefully as the fumes are just as dangerious
Testimonial: "The fuel pump and the fuel filter are both good. get gas all the way up to the engine, just not squirting fuel into the throttle body."

97 don't have carb that year its TBI injection . Inspect/fuelpump relay/pressurereg.switch/pump/filter

probably not fuel filter . probably going to have to remove the upper intake and replace the fuel injector spider(fuel inj assebly) if it is droping fuel pressure it is leaking into the upper manifold

I would check to be on the safe side the fuel filter is going in the right direction. The arrow is pointing towards the engine away from the fuel tank, Then you need to make sure the fuel pump wiring connections are good contact and did not come loose when driving.
