Isuzu Bighorn 3.2D automatic sometimes wont start

Jiggling the selector lever through the range seems to work (so far). I am told that the inhibitor switch needs replacing or cleaning on this 3-speed auto box. Where is it please? (Pics or diagrams would be appreciated too.)

I have a inhibitor problem , where is it located, i.e in the box oron top.

Why doesn't it start?

Is it automatic or manual assuming automatic for the moment
If it is automatic try to start it in ever gear by holding the ignition key all the way on and pulling the selector slowly between the ranges
If the starter catches and engine starts the inhibitor switch needs adjusting if not go to the next step which is for automatic & manuals. bridge the solenoid power wire with the main battery wire.
If this causes it to start with the ignition in the on position then manuals may have a faulty ignition switch automatics may have the inhibitor switch wires disconnected or a faulty ignition switch.
if the solenoid goes click click faulty solenoid or if no starter action happens then the the starter is cactus

Code p0705

Code relates to error in transmission switch on side of automatic gearbox, as if the selector lever has been moved slightly out of its normal range. This might happen if the selector rod has been bent or the adjustment has become loose so when you engage 'drive' the lever is just a shade pushed too far or not enough. Check that the physical components: selector rod; the gear selector lever; and transmission selector lever are all as they should be.

1993 Isuzu Bighorn starting problems

The breakdown service in Nz says it is a problem with the auto transmission being a switch which is not acknowledging it is fully engaged in park, therefore, wont start. I have similar problem, he says to start it in Neutral when this happens. Not sure if this will work for you, but worth a try.
